OS SHP Builder 3.37 has been released!
Site News
Posted by Banshee on January 6th, 2014

Almost six years after the last official release, Open Source SHP Builder 3.37 is now available for download at Project Perfect Mod. This version adds features such as Mirror, Flip, a new Resize method, an auto-installer/update/uninstaller to make the distribution of the beta versions easier and fixes several bugs reported by the community. OS SHP Builder has became a reliable tool to edit graphics from Tiberian Dawn, Red Alert 1, Tiberian Sun, Red Alert 2 and also OpenRA.

It's important to mention that the installer has changed in this version and it may require internet connection in the first run (although there are means to avoid it). The installer was not tested with Windows 8, but it fails, don't worry: it can be installed without installer. Information on how to do that is available at the OS SHP Builder section at Project Perfect Mod. Here's the changelog:

- 3.37
- revisions by Banshee, contributions from Zaaz
- Added: Mirror and Flip: You can mirror and flip frames at Tools -> Image Rotation.
- Added: You may now enable or disable the preview of brush operations at View -> Preview Brush. It is enabled by default.
- Added: You may now enable or disable the ability of the program of auto-detecting SHP type, game and palette at Options -> AutoSelect SHP Type. It is enabled by default.
- Added: MS Paint resize mode at Edit -> Resize. It resizes the image using windows API, like what MS Paint does.
- Added: A new option at Preferences that lets you save shadow frames using compression 1 to prevent issues with big sized units and animations.
- Added: Installer is now inside the program. This means that any beta version of OS SHP Builder will come with an installer that will always download you the latest version of the program. You must be connected to the internet to use it.
- Added: Auto Update at the Help menu. It will always download you the latest version of the program straight from the SVN. You must be connected to the internet to use it.
- Added: Uninstaller is also inside the program and in a separate link.
- Updated: Community links were updated.
- Updated: The default settings now forces different palettes for each situation instead of unittem.pal for everyone.
- Updated: The program will use your theme now.
- Bug Fix: Fixes issues when saving SHP (TD) files. They are now 100% reliable and read by XCC Mixer and other programs. (Thanks Zaaz)
- Bug Fix: Fixes issues when saving the radar color from SHP (TS) files. FinalSun will now display SHP (TS) overlays saved with OS SHP Builder. (Thanks ApolloTD and Zaaz)
- Bug Fix: Images with dimensions bigger than 500 pixel may now be resized.
- Bug Fix: Zoom will no longer go out of bounds. It will always be between 1 and 32.
- Bug Fix: Palette Conversion no longer mess up with colours at the remappable range if it is not an unit.

I recommend everyone to update your OS SHP Builder for this version. You can download it HERE. Support for this tool is available at HERE.

OS SHP Builder has a SVN Browser HERE. You can also download the latest content of the SVN, by using a an SVN client, such as Tortoise SVN, right clicking a directory, clicking in Checkout and setting URL to svn://svn.ppmsite.com/shp_builder

If you have a site, feel free to mirror it without asking for permision. You can also play with its source code and add your own features on the program. Just credit myself and Stucuk for the program. Enjoy it!

Merry Christmas!

Posted by Banshee on December 24th, 2013

Hey everyone! Merry Christmas! As a gift, we've reformed the site and the forums to force it to use the tiberiumweb.org domain. So, hopefully, the site and forums should be fully functional again. Unforutnately, it is not possible to recover the tiberiumweb dot com domain, since it won't be viable to buy it at all, unless whoever owns dismiss it. So, let's get used to our new domain called:

http://www.tiberiumweb.org

Some images still reference the old domain and I don't have their .psd files to edit them. If someone figures out a way to remove the .com from them, your efforts would really be appreciated. Thanks in advance and enjoy Tiberium Web.

TiberiumWeb Lives in Death!
Site News
Posted by Banshee on January 3rd, 2013

Welcome back, commander! Welcome back and happy 2013! If you are seen this message, then you are in heaven, errr... I mean in Dobby, the same server that hosts Project Perfect Mod, Revora and CNCNZ.com, among other sites. As the prophet said, it would be a sad error in judgement to mistake us for a corpse. We are the future. The Tiberium Web has risen once again!

So, for those wondering, the future of this place is in the hands of the community and it is yet to be determined. It is currently being hosted by PPM. The reason once again lies in the words of the prophet:

QUOTE
"He who controls the past commands the future, He who commands the future, conquers the past." -- Kane

So, yes, PPM is trying to command the future and conquering the past. But it's a bit early to talk about these plans.

For now, you can browse the contents at our portals and use the forums (posting attachments again).

TiberiumWebs End
Site News
Posted by Ixith on December 13th, 2012

To any Guests or Users who still visit here, you may have noticed recently, in the last week or so, that the site wasn't loading. It was due to the host changing the DNS settings. Someone managed to contact the DvD and it's fixed. However, the DvD brought sad but expected news that concerns why the host changed the settings and the site was unable to be accessed. Here's his quote from his post on the Project Perfect Mod Forums:

QUOTE (The DvD)
Hey guys.

I changed the settings to the ones Renegade provided and it seems to work. Now as to what caused the site to move, it could be related to the fact that I didn't renew the site's hosting plan at Siteground. They must've moved it to another location in preparation for the cancellation of the entire thing.

The reason why I didn't renew it is because, well, the site's completely dead (aside from the TS mapping and modding forums it seems, and Aro diligently updating it with TI news #Tongue).

I backed up the entire ftp a few days back but in all honestly I wasn't even planning to make any sort of statement or notification about killing off the site confused.gif I honestly didn't think anyone would still care, sorry for that. I'm very busy with studies atm and actually never give the site a moment's thought aside from when Siteground bothers me about it (which they recently did concerning the renewal of services, which I declined).

So while I'm here I may as well urge all whom it concerns to back up any exclusive stuff or move it to PPM. If anyone's interested in the backup files let me know and I could upload them. Which reminds me.. I don't think I backed up the forum database.. I think I forgot how to do that, at least I cannot for the life of me remember it right now, so if anyone would enlighten me, that'd be nice.

BTW, the hosting expires at 30th dec, if I understood Siteground correctly (which isn't always easy) that's the date they will physically delete the files from their server.

Oh, and PMing me on here is the correct way to contact me, as it'll email on an account I still use. I'm no longer admin on GameReplays because the owners are a bunch of scrubs.

So Tibweb has, most likely, until the end of this Month to exist. If you have any valued information or assets here, it is suggested to back them up before the 30th. It is also a good idea to post that stuff to another community site such as Project Perfect Mod, if it hasn't been posted elsewhere already.

I regret posting this news. But I feel it needs to be posted here despite the lack of activity, as it was coming to this. At least now there is some definite warning of when the end for Tibweb will actually be and that we have a last chance to secure any assets and information that hasn't been posted onto other sites within the C&C Modding Community.

I'd like to take the last bit of this post to say, thanks to all who made Tibweb what it was and that I had a lot of fun here with you all.
(feel free to recall and post any fond memories or moments that you have on here! [and on Tumsun for that matter])

Twisted Insurrection: Public Beta 4 Released!
Site News
Posted by Aro on September 26th, 2012

We, the Twisted Insurrection team are very pleased to announce that our latest version, Public Beta 4 has been released!

Since the Re-Issue of Public Beta 3, we have been working hard to get more of the essentials out of the way. The changelog is also very large and impressive due-to the short amount of time (In my opinion, at least) since the last release, you can view the changelog here!

Public Beta 4 includes several new campaign missions (A total of 8 GDI Missions and 13 Nod missions (8 and 9 are palceholder maps) so far), several new units and unit images, new additions to our unique soundtrack, new voices, options, several new and improved maps, coding and balance changes, gameplay improvements, tons of lag reduction, the implementation of Naval units (still in heavily testing phases at the moment) and much more!
Public Beta 4 is our most stable version to date as we have eradicated the source of the most common internal errors and hopefully we wont be seeing any more again (or for a long time at best). Online play is now much simpler to commence now too thanks to the new Twisted Insurrection launcher feature similar to the one used by one of our affiliate projects, The Dawn of the Tiberium Age (which we also reccomend you check out if you loved classic Tiberian Dawn!). Sadly as it is still beta, there are still several placeholder images being used, but this will not effect the game-play at all! Pretty soon we hope to get everything finished and finally come out of beta.
One of our new staff members, Henskelion, is working on CGI & FMV's for future Twisted Insurrection releases which will be available as soon as posisble.

If you are new to Twisted Insurrection, check out our website for more information!

Note: There will be no Public Beta 5, only patches up to this point thanks to the Launcher feature making this easier. The next release will be Twisted Insurrection 1.0. There will be a big patch update based on Public Feedback around Xmas time, as is our tradition.

Enjoy, ladies and gentlemen. We'll be looking forward to hearing your thoughts!

Twisted Insurrection: Tiberian Dawn - Nod Victory

The year is now 2019. The Tiberian World now stands with a very uncertain fate. The two most powerful and influential forces on the planet are trapped in a never ending dead lock of war and combat. Whilst the Global Defense Initiative has suffered many blows and military defeats, the faction itself still stands strong and has shown the world its amazing ability to endure harsh punishments and has recovered much lost ground. The Brotherhood of Nod has struggled and triumphed over its enemies, only for its victory to be short lived by the death of Kane the Messiah, causing an ever lasting deterioration through the Brotherhood and leading to defeats and chaos amongst the large faction. With the end of the First Tiberian War comes the dawn and age of a new, second Tiberian War, with new terrifying possibilities and potential. The fate of Earth lies dangerously unknown. Welcome to the Twisted Insurrection commander.

C&C95 Patch 1.06c revision 2 released
Tiberian Dawn News
Posted by Nyerguds on December 11th, 2011

Project 1.06 finally updates, more than a year after the previous release. Combining the classic exe hacking with the external CnC-DDraw dll gives this new release a huge list of new features.

Read the ModDB release article for a full overview of the new features.

Here's a quick overview of the major additions:
  • Free resolution control; you can play in any resolution you want
  • Videos stretched without black horizontal lines in them
  • Videos stretched to fullscreen in higher resolutions
  • Windowed mode available
  • Better support for maps with less than 6 starting points
  • A new configuration tool combining the settings of both CnC-DDraw and the game itself into one set of easy options.

Some of the smaller features:
  • A beep is now played when receiving a message in multiplayer
  • The radar minimap is no longer zoomed in by default
  • All game fonts have been updated to correct errors
  • Colour errors in the stretching of the Nod map selection screens have been fixed

The new patch can be downloaded at the Project 1.06 website.

Finally, there is still a few days remaining of the first phase of the ModDB Mod of the Year voting!
Vote for Twisted Insurrection!

We're not quite finished here yet.
With the launch of Public Beta 3, we are also pleased to re-announce the Twisted Insurrection Mapping Competition!

The rules are simple and easy to follow, but it's suggested that you read through the Twisted Insurrection: Mappers Guide before you attempt to start on a map. Here is a summary of the map competition rules:

1 - Only One map per entrant.
2 - Map remakes from any C&C game are allowed, but they must be remade from scratch, not just modified versions of the originals.
3 - If you post any previews of your maps anywhere before the competition deadline, you will be disqualified and your map will be marked as void and will not be judged in the competition.
4 - You may modify your submission after you have submitted it, but be sure to get the new submission to me (Aro) on time.
5 - Entries must be submitted to Aro (Me) via Private Message by the 25th of January 2012 (00:00 GMT)
6 - Twisted Insurrection staff members may also enter the competition

The best maps and winning maps will be included in Twisted Insurrection as an official map selection. The top 3 winners will also receive a Twisted Insurrection banner/signature by default.

The Dawn of the Tiberium Age 1.11 news
Tiberian Sun News
Posted by Bittah Commander on November 5th, 2011

I recently decided to start posting updates on DTA 1.11's progress more actively and have been doing so (along with Rampastring) at DTA's official website since the past month.
A decent number of updates have been posted already, so I'll try to keep this post summarized as possible.

To start off, DTA 1.11 has newly made water cliffs for the desert theater.

Thanks to a hack from CCHyper the tiberium now gets affected by lighting just like all other terrain.

On the left is what it originally looked right and on the right is with the hack; as you can see this is a tremendous improvement for how tiberium looks on darker maps.

I converted several terrain objects between theaters to increase the options mappers have to detail their maps with.

Also the new LATs I made give mappers extra options for detailing their maps.

This is just one out of six new LATs I posted on DTA's front page.

The GUI's layout and graphics have been redone.

As you can see in this image the minimap is now much bigger and more detailed.
There are in fact different GUIs and the one you get depends on whichever screen resolution you've selected in the launcher...
...what launcher?

This launcher; it was originally made by Nyerguds as a setup tool mainly for switching between my different GUIs, but it was later on further developed into a launcher by Rampastring.
The launcher is capable of automatically updating DTA to the most recent version, which will make it a lot easier for me to release bug fixes/updates in the future, meaning you won't be having to spend ages to see one little thing fixed anymore.

And finally... Singleplayer missions. People have been asking for a remade TD campaign and no, there won't be a remade TD campaign included with DTA 1.11's release. It takes a lot of work and time to get such missions done properly after all (especially considering the amount of missions the TD campaign had), but maybe the mappers will be able to pull it off eventually (considering the workload however, and the fact few are actually interested in remaking the TD campaign, some extra help might be necessary).

Never the less, DTA 1.11 will come with some singleplayer missions. "The Toxic Diversion", made by Rampastring, is a campaign existing out of 4 missions which can play drastically different depending on the choices you've made during the first missions.
Aside from this, missions in the same fashion as TD's "new missions" might appear later on; so far one of such missions has been included already, namely "Under Sige II" by ReFlex (much like TD's "Under Siege", with the main difference that you're playing as GDI instead of Nod).

Visit DTA's website to read everything above in more detail, along with a lot more images (including an animation of the airstrike superweapon, which I left out of this post because of its size).
