Today I was wondering on TibWeb forums and 9 (!!!) ppl was here. 7 guests and 2 members. I know tiberium-games are dieing, but this, in my oppinion, is unacceptable. I have three ideas to save TibWeb forums:

-make some kind of a contest, only, and only hosted on TibWeb
-I ask everybody if they make something new eg map vxl shp publish it here only, or at least first here.
-lets get TibWeb community mod out of the hellhole called "Inactive"

I think its more about the self destructive cycle the C&C games are in rather than DVD. But yes, thats true too.
And theres no "TibWeb dead" thread, as its renamed to "The TiberiumWeb thread"

With TI recently released and other things going on I think the classics are more alive than they've ever been in the last two years.

We just need more members. I also think PPM has gotten a bit better with it's recent bans.

I can testify that DVD and Python still care about the site and there are already plans in motion to give the site a kick in the butt - in a good way

Newsflash, this IS Tumsun. Or what's left of it.

I personally wanted to get my C&C95 patch project hosted here, but then the board went offline for about half a year, so yeah, I obviously went somewhere else.

Even tho most of us do visit the site often (I visit every day or every other day)
I believe that the reason for this inactivity and halt is due to the lack of motivation, we just visit, see nothing new, and then leave.

There are a few who post stuff (Thank You) but for the rest of us we see no point in posting stuff.

We haven't got down to 1 yet in the countdowns, so why aren't people posing in there, lack of motivation and will power, it won't even take 30 seconds, but still we don't.

Some of us are in denial, and some of us are sad to see this forum slowly coming to a halt, but we don't do anything about it(I tried refreshing 4 topics in the fun factory, but they got 2 or 3 posts and then stopped)

Nobody's posing anything new even tho ppl are still looking in on the forums every day.

It is very sad to see this community comming to a halt, even if it is still not anytime soon.

thats all true, but the MAIN reason is that c&c games are dieing. The old ones are dieing cus theyr old, the new ones bornt dead... (they are crappy) so the main objective is that we should make something NEW for an OLD c&c, most likely for tiberian sun. I tought something like the community mod but with the goal of showing the newest in advanced modding (eg jumpjet vehicles, ---> working air transport etc)

btw if you haven't red I had some kind of a nasty virus or hardware error with my pc and all my modded stuff lost :'-( but as I started making things again, i will post stuff I do not use for my mod.

Actually I think the old ones are still well alive, just this forum isn't. I think TS has lately got more popular again, partially thanks to Twisted Insurrection which has lately been very succesful at ModDB.

As for not posting anything, I don't really have anything to post except when someone has trouble with modding. I don't make public assets anymore since they're so underrated compared to mods' assets, instead I'm slowly doing stuff for DTA and TI. When you make a map and release it at here and PPM, it gets about 100 downloads at best, while the mods get thousands and thousands of downloads (so more people are enjoying the map which you worked hard on).

Well, it doesn't have many modders but the latest version of Nyerguds' patch has some players (at least many thousands).

The paypal donations I get kinda prove there's still quite some interest

I'm not a great C&C player and personally, I was unable to beat TD. I couldn't even get past the fifth mission of both campaigns.

Well how long ago was that? You can always just try again now, you know. Just the high res makes it easier already.

Well most of the time I'm too impatient to wait for things to happen such as building things, so I put it on the highest speed. Once those enemies get in though, well there's no stopping them.

I haven't tried in a couple months since I have TFD.

The problem with Tiberiumweb is that we are focusing on games from over a decade ago, and fewer people are playing them.

If we were to discuss some newer games, we would become a little more active, while still playing and modding older games.

I play minecraft, Modern Warfare 2 for Xbox (YEAH), C&C renegade (I made this), and some other games

So how has everybody been the past, I don't know how long? I graduated finally on the 17 of June...off to college in the fall for Information Technology, as long as I stay as focused as I need to be, I think I'll do fine, its something I'm interested in, plus I'm really happy about moving out, so that's a plus too.

I'll be doing two years at a community college, then maybe transferring, but the funny thing is, the field I'm going into doesn't have enough trained professionals, and every year computers play a bigger and bigger role in our society, so the department head told me that companies call them looking for people with degrees in that field, and hire them, usually starting at $50,000 or so, so I'm banking on getting a job after two years there, then working during the day, and maybe going for two more years at a night school somewhere else if the company will pay for it, another thing he said companies often do with graduates of that school.

I guess you could say I have a 4 year plan, hopefully it will work out the way I'm thinking it will.
