I'm another guilty one of randomly "dissapearing" for ages, some of you might not remember or know me... I think most of you will remember me though.

21 hours...not worth posting about... 1 week...maaaaybe 1month...yes 1 year....yea...but it's probably dead so nothing will come of it 1 decade...wtf are you even doing on that site and hell why is it even still around 1 century....oh when the day comes...100 years of the internet...it will be glorious... 1 millennium...the internet will be called 2nd brain and will be attached to our heads and we shall forever have access to it and ....wait...why the hell am i still going on about this.... nuff said it's not a "OMGGGG!!1!!1!11" deal if no posts where made for you to post back to in the last 21 hours, or hell even the last 48 hours. And...in all honesty...sometimes waiting to post...is a good thing. Hence why I don't post on my maps after release for at LEAST a day if not two days now. It gives people a chance to see it and it gives other people who might post in that section a chance to have their topics at the top. Then I have a reason to bump my topic back to the top and an actual need to post as often there won't be the one reply of "Looks Awesome!" or "It sucks..." there'll be a mix of stuff that i comment back to and get more information on which I can then use to decide what I need to start doing/not doing for future projects. Your most recent post is too similar to: QUOTE Sorry to bump and doublepost, but just to inform you...look at the date of this post. I come on 25 hours after I was on yesterday...only four topics had replies! which you had posted not too long ago in THIS topic and got THIS reply.... QUOTE To be blunt I'd like to thank you for the unnecessary post of self evident and altogether useless info. *sigh* where's daTS with an awesome facepalm picture? or maybe a head desk one? =\

Ixith is completely right, you don't have to post in every single topic just because someone else hasn't posted in it for a day.

QUOTE (Devastator @ Apr 19 2010, 12:08 AM) Not sure to really say this, but for the last few days people have only posted in General Discussion, Fun Factory, and the TD Section. Yeah, and no one cares about the post count. It's normal that there are only a few posts in a day. QUOTE ('Ixith') nuff said it's not a "OMGGGG!!1!!1!11" deal if no posts where made for you to post back to in the last 21 hours, or hell even the last 48 hours. I'm not sure how active DVD and Python are, but there aren't many unvalidated members (others than bots) for sure.

QUOTE (Devastator @ Apr 19 2010, 05:07 PM) Unless we were back in 07 and 08. I hear this place was always active then. yea but you can't expect that kind of activity to live on as people and the game age. Especially not in the form of spam like posts. If you want the community to live on then try to gather Mods for C&C3 for here, and get people messing with the C&C4 World Builder to come here. Then you could also make good original community published assets yourself that get peoples attention, but if all we get are mediocre/hardly active/Just for fun/large mods who have 5+ places to post updates, then we can't really pull people out of the old crowd and if we don't advertise out to the new crowd with C&C3 and C&C4 then we won't get many new members who will not only post but add to the community with Maps for C&C4, assets and possibly mods for C&C3, and what not. Perhaps some talks can go down with The DVD and perhaps Python about holding a Tibweb C&C4 Map Making Contest, now that the World Builder for it is out, and if we get rules and dates and what not pinned down then we can go to EA and ask if they could help advertise the contest. that would probably be the best thing to draw in the fans of the new game. Could also extend that contest to hold a C&C3 edition too.

Well.. I feel TibWeb has always been plagued by problems from it's conception onwards. Mod creators always had to pick one forum to focus on, TibWeb or PPM. And because of certain things in the past (Felix fucking us over with TumSun so we had to create TibWeb, downtimes, forum troubles, but perhaps more importantly lack of interest from our admin team and a lack of staff) things just got worse and worse really. I've made it clear on multiple occasions that if anyone is enthousiastic enough they can take over TibWeb, but perhaps I should have simply made a news topic about it to draw more attention. The offer still stands really. I'd still pay for the hosting and the IPB License (well, mostly). I just don't have the time nor the interest to really work on this site anymore. I don't play the newer CnC games as I think they're crap compared to the old ones, and my interest in TS is all but zero. That said I'm all for a mapping competition. I just don't want to organise it myself I'd help ofcourse by setting up the necessary forums. There's a decent chance I might be able to acquire some pretty nice prizes. (I actually won them myself recently but didnt receive them yet, they're very CnC / Kane related.) The competition would need to be fairly well advertized though as we'll need to attract many mappers from other sites aswell in order to have a decent amount of people competing. I'm sure PPM would help us out by posting updates in their news section. I don't visit any other sites myself, so I don't have any more suggestions

Oh hi there The only reason I come back to playing a little TS (skirmish!) every few months is because I discover some old TumSun/TibWeb/other maps which are so *artistically* nice. Seriously, I think the main strength of TS was/is that everything looked so nice and appropriate to the general tone & atmosphere of the game (the music too). Also the insane modding skills of some people just mean that the lots of the mods out there look just as good as the rest of the original game, which is nice. Also TS runs rather well under Wine now (I think I have a dead PPM account somewhere)

Since i see you mods and admins here, may i point your attention to this old and wrong tutorial. I've already written a new one a while ago here. It would be also nice if you could make links shown in green again and not only underlined. Right now i have to manually change the link-text green.

Oh a link-text green? Aah so you have to link the incorrect tutorial to Python? I can see from this topic that Dev has brought back Warlord, Wiziwig, and snow93 whom appear to be old members.

I will look into changing the link color. Also, I played Tiberian Sun last night for the first time in over a year ... and I missed it!!

Yes Ramp, i've visited longer than Dev and I remember this old skin back when I still visited. Ya a question, why didn't I register before? I had been busy with school. Now a senior, near the end.
