The title says it all! Open Map Competition 4 for Tiberium Wars is officially passed the deadline for submitting maps. The submitted maps are now being validated and will be sent to the judges, hopefully, within the next two days.

So to all mappers who entered into OMC4 I congratulate you and wish you all good luck.
Let the suspense of the judging time begin!

Why doesn't he have it? Not enough space? Crap computer?? MAC???

well many reasons i dont have it.
1-My computer does infact suck. Though thank god it is not a MAC. I don't like those things compared to a good normal PC
Reaons it suck are A) its a few years old now. I have never added anything to it. C) too much other sh*t like games, and music is taking up all but like 2 gigs on my drive.
2-I dont have any money to waste on a game that i am not sure if i actually like yet or not.

so there you have it.

BTW to get on topic of the OMC4 as soon as I hear anything about the results or competitors who entered i will make another post on the OMC status. So stay tuned for more info.

Waiting for the TS part of the Competition

Which it should be coming sometime (hopefully shortly) after the results for the TW portion of OMC4 are up.
Also its good to hear that the TW portion was a success in amount of entries! There were indeed 30 entries!! At least thats what im hearing.

Banshee said he might do a special on for TS and RA2/YR this year, because OMC4 did not have them.

The idea wasn't to do them simultaneously because it's too much effort to organise. Last time there were issues all over the place with judges not doing what was asked (I took over for an RA2 judge), some people took forever to send their results and then Banshee had to pay to ship out prizes to people because EA didn't. Banshee said he would do a TS one, just after the TW one was done.

I'm willing to help Banshee with the prizes for the TS Competition. I'd also like to be a judge again.

Hey guys, I just wanna confirm that TS will be the next game. It won't be anything as fancy as the C&C3 one where we can get maps on Kane Wrath , since the game is old. I'm currently sorting a lot of real life issues and dealing with the university pressure. Once the dust settles, I'll organize the TS edition. If you wanna start working on your TS map, go ahead, since the rules won't be much different than the ones from the C&C3 edition, except that they will be adapted to TS, of course.

maybe i'll join then, maybe. had this great map i was working on but then pc probs and poof map was gone, but i do have an older version of it i may join the next omc, just to give ya all a extra boost, to map like u have never mapped before muhahaha, and its been a while since my last map.
