I have an idea, if Tiberian Twilight is ending the tiberian series, then lets keep it going.
Has anyone ever tried to take ALL the ini files and empty them, then add your own stuff, hack the EXEs, and basically your creating your OWN TS? unsure.gif

It could be the way to keep WW going since EA came along.

It is just an idea...

Certain things in certain INI files need to be kept for TS to be able to run properly. But removing or modifying codes that do allow it, is basically what modding is.

I actually think I removed more of the original codes during the development of DTA than modders have done in other mods and I found out the hard way some things just shouldn't be removed or changed.

Well that is obvious cus you were converting it to C&C Gold.
AI INI, I think you can empty and fill with your new unit's data for forces or you can just edit the taskforces and take out the original units.
Art INI should keep the movie list, and a few anims you MUST keep.
Rules INI has many areas like the HackSection that should be kept the same.

Those are the most important. Actually Rules and Art are. AI just controls the computer.
If you have a mod, you MUST have Rules and Art.

Sound.INI is only if you add sounds.
Firestrm.INI is if you have Firestorm.
The other Firestorm files as well.
Newmenu.INI controls the background at the game menu so only use this if your editing the background.
Tutorial.INI controls parts of the mission I'm not sure about.
Mapsel.INI is only for the original GDI/Nod missions.
Mission.INI is important IF you are adding missions.

And so...I don't have a point. tongue.gif

That post was just replying to your's which had a point.

INI files need certain things for TS to work right...
