Seems i still get this ugly red beam bit being drawn? When I want thin beam similiar to laser turret?

As far as I know, lasers are hardcoded. Talk to TSHyper, he may be able to answer better on "can we un-hardcode it yet?".

Infact that code should just work. Remember the CABAL obelisk has a blue laser too.

no, it has only a blue inner line. wink1.gif the red transparent beam is still red.
i think the red beam is hardcoded to be red.

This needs to be looked into. Its easily manipulated if i can find where it is set. I heard that YR has the option to change it?

yep, but only to remap color. You also can't decide in RA2 in which color the beam is shown (only between red and housecolor).
The best would be if it's like tiberium, having a special color key like "LaserColor=DarkRed".

In YR fixed e.g. ufo laser although LaserColor=DarkRed is possible solution as pd/vk did a similiar thing to color magnetron beams

Yes i know, but in his screenshot the inner is also red even though he has set it to blue..

there is no inner laserline anymore in his screenshot, because LaserDuration=5 made it most probably disappear before the screenshot was done. (with this low value the inner colored laserline is only very few seconds visible) The red beam is in this case longer visible than the colored laserline.

AG, little word of wisdom: lasers in Tiberian Sun have Warhead=Super tagged onto them. Giving a laser an AP warhead doesn't make sense nor does it take advantage of it being a laser.

I did a lot of trial and error with lasers a couple years ago. I stopped screwing with them recently for one reason or other.

well its for test and also balance in future

a warhead which does 100% vs everything is just plain OP
