Error, Or not... Options

I got a strange messige on Final sun and can anyone tell me what its trying to tell me.

(it doesn't affect me opening Final sun but I would like to fix it any how...)

FinalSun is unable to read the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Westwood\Tiberian Sun\ registry entry, because it's missing.

Have you properly installed TS from the CD (or DVD if you've got The First Decade) or have you just copied it from somewhere, like from an USB stick?

If you've installed TS properly, try reinstalling or putting the registry keys manually if you know how (I think the ...\Westwood\Tiberian Sun\InstallPath value is the only one FS needs).

If you copied TS from some removable media, re-install TS using the original CD or DVD. If you have The First Decade, remember to install the 1.01 patch after installing TS or FinalSun won't work.

I had installed TS and FS properly from the CD but I also installed The first decade.

I soon found final sun would not open so I uninstalled thr first decade which might have made the error.

It doesn't stop me using final sun though so maybe I shouldn't worry about it.

Installing the TFD version of TS has overwritten the registry for your original TS/FS installation. And uninstalling the TFD version then deleted the registry for TS/FS.

So, either reinstall (recommended) or create the "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Westwood\Tiberian Sun\InstallPath" registry entry and make it point to your original TS/FS installation folder using Windows Regedit.

Or just ignore the error, if it doesn't bother you.

It's never recommended to install a different version of any game while an other version is present on the computer unless you know what it causes and how to fix/revert any possible configuration errors. Applies not only to C&Cs but also to other games.

good to hear you got it fixed ive got a symilar problem if i click on any of my 7 sun.exes in any of my 7 TS folders it restarts my computer then gets confused trying to patch TS and i cant play online(only one TS is unpatched the others are either patched or TFD)
