I get the same error randomly during Ion Storms, and as far as I know it's a bug in the game and the error doesn't produce an except.txt.

Well. Unfortunately, there's not much to get from this as the EIP and stack addresses are outside of the usual range. This could be another WaveClass error and your best bet is the modified ddraw.dll if you run Windows XP, or, as the screen says, reinstall the MS C++ Redist 1 Package. Short of that though, you may be out of luck.

You may also try running under Win98/ME compatibility in XP or XP compatibility in Vista/W7.

Seems to be some random error that relates to graphics and more specifically, the map lighting.. As it only shows up (for me at least!) when an Ion Storm kicks in or the map's lighting changes drastically.

Yeah, that's what I meant, I get the error sometimes when an Ion Storm starts (on two computers so far).

As a workaround I disabled the random ion storms from all multiplayer maps which had them. However, the error is still quite rare and I left long one-time Ion Storms enabled (in those maps which have one).

Erm, its calling a pure virtual, so its calling a index on a virtual table that has no real function, so a virtual function is put in place, and the game should NEVER call them, so it must be a malformed index somewhere.
