Enabling Auto Base Building and Production for an AI team seems to trigger the AI to build or replace any structures prebuilt or placed as nodes, but is it possible to enable the skirmish AI so the AI will build its base independently?

The “Auto Base Building” tag apparently should do this according to FinalSun, but it seems to have no effect. I remember this working in another WW game (although it did build units and structures of both factions).

Had it working once (partly) but somehow messed it up and couldn't get it back to work no matter what. I was making a CABAL campaign for my mod TSTW at the time..

Anyway, can't help you much, but maybe some experienced singleplayer mappers like Python Aro or Yoshi could help you out.

Auto base building - Yes works perfectly fine. You just have to make sure the triggers house is set to the correct one, be sure that the IQ is set to 5 and have the AI Autoproduction triggers on. Oh, and of course make sure the AI has money and a construction yard.

A good way to give AI money is to give them expensive buildings on the map, tthen triggering them to sell at the beginning of the game, since multiplayer maps don't like it when you edit houses..

Hm... think I'm missing something, as I've tried this to no avail. I've knocked up a quick map which demonstrates what I've tried with the production triggers; the relevent actions are in "Start Nod1". Replace gdi01.map/nod01.map/etc with this and have a look:

sic01.map

Trigger belongs to Nod and Parameters are:
30 Auto Base Building... : 1 (Yes)
74 AI triggers begin... : 1 (Nod)
3 Production Begins... : 1 (Nod)
13 Autocreate Begins... : 1 (Nod)
