I want to give special thanks to LKO for his great tutorial and help.

It's a very big mech; which would fit nicely with LKO's mech warfactory :biggrin:
Inspired by Emperor (Harkonnen Devastator) I present you the GDI Devastator.

Really nice dude!

The legs seem a bit too thin - im having doubts about wether they could hold that body up. But aside from that, im loving it. Well done, especially as its a first mech.

A Second LKO is born... I personaly would not use that unit as i do not like the way it looks, but it's just brilliant. It kind of reminds me of my first mech (I Will share if i can find it in the files).

the next X-Mech Calender is up to you machine. lol.gif
btw the unit looks good and for the first one really impressive.
Next time you make such a big unit, it would be better to make it with a turret. then the fireFLHs are better placeable because of the higher amount of rotation frames.

now start making smaller shp units. because the smaller they are and still have a good amount of details the better you are. And Infantry is the highest goal. :biggrin:

Damn, that thing looks nice (especially considering it's your first) :blink:
I agree with with Creagor about the legs being too thin, though you already know they are rolleyes.gif

It's a pity that in TS while you can have a unit with only a barel (and no turret) which can only move up and down, you can't get it to work without giving the unit Turret=yes in rules.ini, meaning that even though the turret can't rotate, the unit 'll be able to fire in any direction anyway...
If this wasn't the case, you could've made the legs the unit and the body the barrel, which would look very interesting ingame. It still would... But the fact the unit 'll be able to fire in any direction without turning just makes it worthless :(

OK, only mechs could become boring so mixed with infantry, buildings etc. A mixed Calender.
Maybe we make an shp-calender together. smile.gif Thats not so much work for everyone and the designs are very different, giving it much more variety. But the year is long, and we will see what comes. :biggrin:

Making a shp-calender together, sounds good. Since I think that doing it alone, would be a task too big for me, specially I might be in the university classes; it still amazes me that you did yours alone tongue.gif

@Bittah Commander:

I'll make the body the turrent in a near future; too bad that if it were a barrel should be voxel, since I don't like voxels mixed with shps, look at the titan, without watching any pics of it, that are not in-games, you could hardly say in which side the barrel is, since it's always switching positions.

I named Devastator, because I originally inspired in the Harkonnen Devastator of Emperor; But I'm not going to give it that name in-game; since all big GDI mechs uses names of giant creatures, I was thinking in Golem, Leviathan, or something like that tongue.gif

The new one looks quite a bit smoother and the legs (and feet) actually fit with it now (and wider feet like it has now if it gets a turret anyway) smile.gif

Could you take a screenshot of it with the turret facing a different direction as the legs?

@All:
Are you worried by the turret shadow? Do you think the unit would be better, if it didn't have a turret, but a more fitting shadow?.
For those who don't get it, the new version, having a turret, can't have a proper turret shadow, althought the tag exist in the game, it isn't used, or doesn't work; so I had to use a round shape for the upper part of the shadow, if I was going to give it a turret; I could have a full shadow if the unit doesn't have it.
