I can't edit my posts, there's no edit button there.
I tried in IE, but it still wasn't there.
Err, why can I edit this post but not any other posts? Time limit?
In that case it should be removed.

What! Sorry, but thats stupid, i make spelling errors in some of my posts and i have to now wait 30 minutes to fix them? And what about people who want to update things...
I think you should allow certain, trusted people to edit there posts, new comers should earn to right to remove it.
*posts can be edited here?*

QUOTE What! Sorry, but thats stupid, i make spelling errors in some of my posts and i have to now wait 30 minutes to fix them? No you have up to 30 minutes from the time of posting to fix them. After 30 minutes you can no longer edit your post.

QUOTE (Python @ Dec 20 2007, 05:19 PM) There is a 30 minute time restriction in place. After 30 minutes from posting you will not be able to edit your post. This was put in place because of a couple previous events involving members editing all contributions to this forum before leaving those people's work does not belong to you (admins/mods), and have the right to remove it before leaving. people are put on the community blacklist for stealing work. by not giving people the option to edit their work out you are essentially doing the same. i think its sickening when people do not follow their own rules. nor does a post belong to anyone else except its writer. if it is not written according to the rules, simply delete the post, and warn the user.

Stealing work is the absolute furthest thing from what we are doing by imposing this time restriction. If a member requests that they want a thread deleted, it is deleted without question. It is a totally different story when they give no prior warning and make every thread they've posted in a total mess with stupid little "..." messages. Those threads would be deleted anyways, but we would be required to find them first. This eliminates this bullshit step and allows us to run the forum more efficently and keep everything looking clean. TiberiumWeb is a highly respected community and we would never ever resort to stealing the works of anybody, and I demand you never accuse us of it again.

Me? I Thought it was because of the attack earlier this month? But In my opinion, there is still no need to remove the edit button after 30 minutes of the post. That just causes problems, in my opinion.
