Is there any way to disable the annoying sound in FinalSun ?
I would like to listen to music and map at the same time without hearing that click sound everytime I add something. Thank You - Crashking Edit : sorry for posting it the wrong place

There is a "hacked" version of Finalsun somwhere, i'll edit back when I find a link to it...

Edit: Hmm, the only link I had to it was broken... maybe wes.com's site...

Edit#2: Or not. I cant find it anywhere. Lookaround for a while on google, see what you get,or ask somone who mapps regularly (and is therefore likley to have it).

lol its a good thing you found this then....i believe someone found out how to disable it somehow in the FSData.ini too or another file it uses.....i think that was at PPM ill check it out.

but personally i think the sound is quite comforting while mapping without music and if i want to map while listening to music i use my MP3 player or my other computer to play the music and turn off the sound on my main computer which im mapping on.

also........why is this in the Finished Maps section? shouldnt it just be in TS mapping? so would a moderator or admin move it so its in the appropriate place. thanks ahead of time.

EDIT: ahh yeah i found it.

How to disable the sounds in FS

I have been searching in the FS files, and noticed that the program is a copy of FA2. So i looked at the FinalAlert.ini, and i noticed a little line, called: NoSounds=1
I thought: could this work in FS too? So i copied the line from the FinalAlert.ini to the FinalSun.ini, run the program, and what did i heard: nothing Very Happy

It is very easy: copy this line to your FinalSun.ini
Code:
NoSounds=1

and paste it under [UserInterface], so it looks like this:
Code:
[UserInterface]
EasyView=0
NoSounds=1
DisableAutoLat=0
DisableAutoShore=1
ShowBuildingCells=1

i havent tried this yet and there were no replies in the topic but im pretty sure we can trust DutchyGamer.

Thanks for all help. I have gotten rid of that pesky sound sneaky2.gif
I think the fixed FinalSun is easier as you can just unrar it into your SUN folder and you're done.
And I apologize that I was able to post it in wrong forum.

lol so it does work awesome smile.gif
now as for that bug i dont know.....i hardly know what to edit in all of the FinalSun's inis about the only thing i know has already been done by TitanMarkII in his fix of those few triggers. as i myself dont know much about those things and what exactly to look for but maybe ill look into it some more. and maybe comparing FinalSun stuff with FinalAlert2 stuff can help us fix some things to.

and cant you place the ground types like that by holding down the shift button? or do you mean something else?

I think I'll use this instead of the hacked exe. I think the hacked exe screws up my Marble Madness. wacko.gif

Edit: Nvm, it's not that. My computers just a fuggin piece of sh*t. D:
