I have Three questions about the ddraw.dll file that stops the WaveClass errors.

1: is it possible to modify the ddraw.dll file to be only for tiberian sun that stops the black screen?
2: is thier a way to solve the black screen problem with the current ddraw.dll file?
3: who else is trying to fix the waveclass error besides Hyper, just curious?

Two questions about the game.

1: What can i do in the meantime to temporarily fix these issues until a patch is made to fix this?
2: Why is my game so slow and why does it lag whenever i build something?

Sorry, I dont mean it to sound demanding...

Delete the ddraw.dll, it causes multiple issues with TS (although it does fix the waveclass errors).

Instead, download Hyper's disruptor crash fix and play using it instead of the normal Game.exe.

To fix the error with the lasers, turn your Visual Details level to "Low" or "Normal". Playing on "High" causes WaveClass errors with lasers.

About fixing the error with the Ion Cannon, it's not possible. However the ion cannon crash is quite rare.

For the game running slowly.. the lag when building something cheap is a known issue, Bittah Commander posted a fix somewhere on the HyperPatch forums.

Although it might work perfectly for you in singleplayer, for many others (including me) it has caused Reconnection Errors on multiplayer, random freezes/slowdowns, black screens on startup etc.

@CabalCore: If the normal Game.exe works for you (and you aren't playing some mods with a hex-edited executable) then the fixed exe should also work. "Failed to initialize" usually comes when the game can't read/find some critical .MIX files in the game's directory.

If you're having problems with normal TS and the fixed executable, I can't really help with that. Hyper said in that topic that some people have had problems with the fix, but I'm not sure if yours is one of those problems. For me the executable works perfectly except for videos, which the game doesn't show at all.
