ok so i was in finalsun placing some civilians down and something hit me..........

where the heck are the different races in CnC. i mean there are a few but i cant recall ever seeing a black civilian or anything of that sorts that is clearly distinguishable. In RA2/YR there are some other origins but as far as i can remember they are all still white. :blink:

so correct me if im wrong on this. or if im not wrong maybe someone has an idea on why?

this is just a thought that hit me late at night before bed while mapping......so my brain may not be functioning very well right now.

The simple explanation for this is that with the small amount of space available, light pixels are more clearly visible against the darker pixels that are their clothes, so its easier to identify infantry.

...and, most of them are wearing helmets anyways.

They do show 1 non-caucasin though, Chandra, who is from India I believe...

I think Ixith means in-game. And I really don't remember seeing any diversity in the games either, but I doubt thats for reasons of prejudice...

Listen to the voice of the mutant hijacker. Sounds quite black to me. And the Engineer sounds scottish.

Besides, the infantry are too small to distinguish black from caucasian. And they often have helmets on too.

BTW - think about this for a moment: Why is the only black guy in TS a car thief? :confused:

i always thought the rocket infantry sounded black. i havent played in a while so i can't exactly remember. and i thought the engineer sounded asian, asians being good at mathematics or something.

In Firestorm, play the first GDI level. Listen to the bit where the engineer says "Sir, I've done the best I can, but the damage is too extensive. Looks like the Kodiak is a loss." That's where you can hear the accent best. At least a lot better than those short bits you hear when you click on 'em.
