I've had nothing to do, so I've been quietly working again on Novus Ordo and have come up with this second release for everybody. I'll admit that not a great deal has been changed, but it's fixed a few niggling annoyances and added some extra little tidbits, including some new cameos, two new maps (graciously donated by Ixith) and a superweapon (which was originally included but started mysteriously crashing). I'm still hoping to find a building modeller and somebody to help with cameos and maps wouldn't go amiss. If you're interested, contact me somehow. Finally, the download itself. Click the lovely image below (originally from something by Gecko, brutally butchered by me): EDIT: I apologise, but there was a rather major bug in this release which would cause a crash if there was an AI playing as The Order. If you haven't downloaded the mod yet, just download as usual. If you've already got it, download this rules.ini and extract it to your TS folder, it should fix the problem.

That would be just the type of bug that I managed to forget to fix. Consider it fixed for the next version!

Well considering it's an art.ini file, it's impossible for it to carry a virus. It can't be executed since it's text only, that's like having a text document with the words "I am a virus, I am going to delete your files" and expecting it to do what it says. I think your virus scan is jealous that Nod aren't included in the mod. Sounds about right, maybe?

Any crashing problems should be fixed, the problem was with the WallTower= tag. Apparently, there needs to be a structure listed for it to work. Of course, after a bit of playing I find that it actually causes the enemy to not build anything past a WF, but I can eventually solve that. For some Godforsaken reason, I can never fix the Component Tower bug despite (I think) coding it how you're supposed to.

Like I said, the actual bug is fixed. Anything else you changed was probably just removing or altering residual code. Just post the rules.ini here if you so wish.

Reminds me of a Texas Hold 'em Bot right there Denmon. Reaal smoothe dude. It's totally making you look like the good guy. ANyways, i've played N.O. and.. well.. wow. Clazzy you did an AWESOME job on it. I hope to see a new release soon. Gameplay was amazing, but the order seems a bit.. strong.

You simply haven't mastered the Iron Fist yet. The Order just use sheer strength but you have to remember that they have slower and more expensive units. Just think what a couple of Phantoms could do to a small tank army or imagine disabling a few tanks with Stunners and then capturing them with technicians to turn the tide of an attack. Diversionary tactics with Dummy Tanks, hit and run assaults on the enemy base with Rocket Buggies, and remember that they can easily use infantry to good effect (provided there are no Violators or Invigilators nearby). Just play around with the units and see what you can do. I got a surprise once when playing online because Rattuskid sent a massive army of Cheetahs at me (which self-repair). He'd attack, destroy some buildings and run away to recover and repeat. When I mustered up an attack force, he took them down with a massive carpet bombing then sent in the Cheetahs to finish me off.

Well the balancing system goes something like this: If Rattus beats me with a certain unit, it's overpowered. There was a point where the Violator did 100% damage to everything so it was utterly unstoppable (to the point of taking down 25 Shadows). He got lucky that time, methinks .

I know very well. My point, however, is that Rattus is crap at TS and NO so when he beats me it's either a whopping fluke or an imbalance with a particular unit.

Hey, i know i'm bumping. But IMO, this has to be said. Clazzy, there are alot of bugs in Novus Ordo. And i am not just talking about the sidebar which was a souveer disapointment to me. The main one i noticed was that on all maps with a bridge that go over water. The tanks just sink through the bridge???? I'm like WTF... And i thought it was a bit of an upset myself. i was really looking forward to the MOD, but it f*cked up my tiberium sun too... I deleted all features of the mod and it had not changed a thing. Novus ordo was still there. So i had to uninstall and reinstall losing More god damn data.... Like i needed that to happen to me again. -_- Any way back to the point. You must do something about that Bridge bug. Its just... ARGH!!! And err sorry if i have caused any upsets in my post.

QUOTE And i am not just talking about the sidebar which was a souveer disapointment to me. The main one i noticed was that on all maps with a bridge that go over water. Well the sidebar cameo issue won't really be changed until people are willing to help with the graphics for them. I know of the bug in Forked, that's sorted for the next release. Other than that, I can't really bugfix if I don't know what the bugs are, so please be more descriptive. Oh, and I'm afraid it's not my fault if you can't delete a few mix files, two pkt files and some ini files. It isn't that complicated.

QUOTE (Clazzy @ Jan 12 2007, 01:32 PM) Oh, and I'm afraid it's not my fault if you can't delete a few mix files, two pkt files and some ini files. It isn't that complicated. BAAH!!... I Deleted all that was from your mod and that should have reverted it back to normal. But that does not matter so much now cause i reinstalled it... Losing more F**king data... Oh well, Sorry about that clazzy. You say that bridge thing is fixed?
