My Idea:A Chat Topic for TiberiumWeb, Python, DvD? Options

To get some activity flowing again, perhaps we can create a chat thread that TiberiumWeb members talk to each other rather than via MSN or AIM, or whatever.

personally don't like the idea for a couple reasons which i'll list below and also if a thread is made it should be in the fun factory.

but reasoning to dislike:
A)Takes too long for responses half the time
B)There will be a long history of pages upon pages of utterly useless crap taking up a bit of space once you count all the signatures and avatars that are present.
C)Someone might say something but the other person may not check the topic again for days on end.
D)And i personally just don't think there would be much appeal to everyone on here.

sounds good...but again wrong kind of activity. The activity that would be good to see would be people doing stuff modding wise and posting it.

Can't the TiberiumWeb thread be used for such things? But honestly this idea seems more fitting for the PM system or maybe even a IRC.

Why no PM for me? I would certainly be able to react quicker as DvD and Python got more important things to do.

Sounds like the same idea as a chat room that was proposed awhile ago, except a chat room would actually work better. However, the majority of members were against a chat room and seeing a lack of support meant I wasn't going to waste any time working on it.

I'm not totally against setting up an IRC server, but it would only be if people show enough support.

For "general discussion" chat we have the "General Discussion" board to post in. Unless I'm missing something with your idea ... please fill me in.

yeah the "tiberiumweb thread" already works great for that purpose (even though that wasn't even its original intention, haha)

People have been talking about general stuff in the TibWeb thread (which Team Black renamed), why didn't I think of it before?
