Hello all,

I was wondering if it was possible to create a new building, called something like "Massive Paving", where the paving is like twice or thrice as big as the original, or if it is possible to increase the size of the original paving, and how this would be possible.

All answers will be gratefully recieved.

Welcome to TiberiumWeb.

Assuming that you know how to extract things from the .MIX files (and that you've also read other essential modding tutorials or found out how to do things yourself);

-> Open XCC Mixer
-> Open expand01.mix (if you have Firestorm installed) or patch.mix (if you don't have Firestorm installed). Both of these files are in your Tiberian Sun directory.
-> Find and extract "art.ini" from the MIX file to your Tiberian Sun directory (note: the filename doesn't contain the quote marks)
-> Open the art.ini (which you just extracted from the MIX file) with Notepad or Wordpad (both should work, but some people have had problems with them, so if the other shows just random data try the other).
-> Search (hotkey F3) the art.ini for "GAPAVE" (again, without the quote marks)
-> You should now be in the [GAPAVE] entry and see the "Foundation" string below it. Change foundation from "4x4" to "6x4" (again, without the quote marks). For more information see the Allowed foundations tutorial.

If you want a new building and keep the current pavement at the same time, you can look for tutorials on how to create new buildings, then copy the codes from the GAPAVE entry and just change the foundation.

iirc the current pavement covers the second largest surface area possible with the current blueprint standards. only ones larger are the ones the wf and refineries use.

nvm didn't fully read ramsteins post tongue.gif
