i see only the Civil Fusion Power Plant (the 4 above the 2 refinerys), which will come with TSTX and the hover harvester from which i don't know if i made it or not. (so i can't share this one)

That thing standing by the helipads what looks a bit like a kodiak without a nose.

I don't know what you mean.
There's only my released Kodiak (see sig) landed on the dropship bay, then the old TD chinook which was left in the original TS mix files. and the known orca carryall and orca transporter.

ah, i totally forgot about that.
back then, when i found the first voxel editor (Will's VXL Editor beta 3), i recolored the TD units from TS, so they look more similar to the TD ones. Nothing really complex, only a darker gold scheme and similar colored rocket pods/antennas/barrels. This must have been one of my first modding attempts at all.

It's too bright for the slums that the cities are in TS now. I always assumed the population was in a depression state at the time.

These buildings are meant for "blue zones". All TS buildings are dirty and damaged because the war is in "red and yellow zones"

I wouldn't know what's wrong with the trees.

Changing the floors would take to much work and since only buildings with these floors are used so you wouldn't notice.

PS: 3-4 floors, wouldn't that be 6-8 ?

Dear God, how huge of a bump is this? Not even close to the forum record (which is 2 years and 8 months), but still quite large!

Anyway, here is a base I spent a long time creating.

I give you: GDI Forward Operating Base, Flagstaff!

Map: Grand Canyon
Mod: Uh, there isn't one
Side: GDI
Colour: Gold (what else? tongue.gif )
Tech Level: 6

Some background info: GDI Forward Operating Base 4077 is located just outside of what remains of Flagstaff, Arizona. Set up to assist the Phoenix base, it soon became the main GDI base in Arizona after the Phoenix base was destroyed in the Second Tiberium War. Currently, the base houses the 13th ORCA Squadron, the 299th Artillery, the 8th Mechanized, and the 81st Infantry. A mammoth sensor net covers roughly 3/5 of my side of the map.

Flagstaff itself is but a shadow of it's former image.

Obviously just a small guard for the bridge, which was destroyed in the fighting (who knew that Juggernauts are an uber bridge killer?). Doesn't look like much, and I forgot to put SAM towers in it, but it can take out any assaulting ground force with ease. Those mobile EMP units can drive underneath the bridge and deploy the EMP, disabling any attacking enemy tanks on the bridge. The Juggernauts can then wipe out the enemy with swift prejudice. Those Orca fighters aren't really for defence of the firebase, but to quickly harass any enemy force that gets on my side of the map.

Again, doesn't look like much. But the SAMs are an effective vanguard against any AI air attack, and that EM Pulse Cannon will disable any attacking ground force long enough for Orca fighters from the Forward Outpost and Firebase Alpha to arrive and assist. There are no superweapons in this match (tech level 6, remember?), so no need to point out that a well placed multi missile can cripple my power supply tongue.gif

Here is the Primary Harvesting Outpost:

No EMP for defence, but those Juggernauts will take out any ground force that somehow got past my forward defences, and the SAMs are fairly effective on air assaults.

Compact and without much in the way of defence, but the main base is just up that cliff, so it's covered.

As you can see, it is quite a formidable fortress (for the AI at least). The EM Pusle Cannon is actually quite a useless feature, as the 9 Juggernauts can typically destroy any incoming ground force in a single salvo. The Orcas can help out if the mass of enemies on the bridge gets too large, but mostly they are for harassing the AI base. Should my main base be destroyed, it makes for a really good last stand. It guards the only remaining crossing of the Colorado River.

And finally, here is the main base:

If the AI by some act of God gets any units here, they are dealt with faster than a fat kid eats candy. I have one EM Pulse Cannon, and four of those mobile EMPs. Any attacking vehicles get fried in Flagstaff, no exceptions. The Juggernaut's range is about equal to that, and can destroy the vehicles in seconds. I have 5 Orcas there, which really do a lot of damage to the incoming ground units also. I have a few dozen light infantry and disc throwers, which are quite effective also at suppressing any attack. I do have 15 titans and 20 wolverines sitting in storage. If all else fails, they don't.

Those 12 SAM towers make any air assault a one way ticket to the afterlife for any aircraft stupid enough to come near the base.

The large empty space in the middle of the base is meant to be a marshaling area.

Those double walls are great at keeping pests out while my defences annihilate them...

Grand Canyon is such an ugly map, urgh!
But still a quite good looking base. Though imo a bit too much seperated into small parts, with each of them quite easy destroyable.

You also forgot to place pavement under the buildings. I never build my buildings on normal ground, else the next ion cannon shot would deform the ground and i lose more and more building space.

@Mod/Admin: please move this topic back in the fun factory.

huh? isn't this a campaign GDI map, where you had to destroy a Nod base there where you have placed your GDI base?

LKO pavment is also used to block subteranean unit's if you have pavment = no sub units
