In the overlay section (bottom left bar) in FinalSun, there are 20+ different Tiberium Riparius (green) images. However, when placed on a map, and that map played, some of those images actually appear as blue Tiberium. So, is there a way to recognize which of these overlay types are actually blue and which green Tiberium in FinalSun?

in the left bar under Special/Overlay - All Overlay - you can find the tiberium types with their correct names. There you can also choose red tiberium.
