Sorry, but this post doesn't belong in this part of the forums, but it wouldn't let me post in the graphics section! I just took it upon myself to post here. rolleyes.gif

I had this idea, and decided to post it here because I haven't seen anything about it elsewhere. Infantry squads. Yeah, like in C&C3. I know you can't stick the units together, so I came up with something. Where you to create (draw?) a new unit, couldn't you make it so it LOOKS like there are more than one unit? I was thinking, that the squad would be just one unit, but (clear/seethrough/invisible?) at parts, so it looks like they are individual units, and with the more damage inflicted upon them, one of the soldiers "dies," making it look like the squad is smaller and weaker.

....Is this even remotely possible....?

They will have to die at the same time. There's no way to imitate individual infantry dying as time goes by I'm afraid.

What I ment by when I said the individual units die one at a time was like when structures have damage done to them, with more damage done, the more it SHOWS. You know what I mean? Oh well...

Members should be able to post in the Graphics forum now (I just fixed it). I think this topic fits better in the TS Modding forum however, so I'm moving it there.

Damage stages only work on buildings. You could get 2 damage stages to work on infantry by using the cyborg logic however, though that won't reduce the firepower if the squad (it'll only make it slower, which might actually seem a bit odd).

Actually, I think it would be better if they would move slower. Your squadmates are dead, you are wounded, of course you wont be able to move at a normal running speed. I think it should be like that with all infantry units....
