Hi

I tested my mod in all TS Missions and in the last GDI mission the game crashes without any IE or message.
I already build up my base and now if i place a Ion-Cannon uplink, a stealth gen or repair bay the game just stops. the first buildup frame gets shown but then nothing it just freezes.
But if i build other buildings like power plant it works fine. btw i have Nod buildlist too, because captured Nod Conyard.
I did not changed anything of the buildingtype list except to the end aswell as the animation list.

And the most curious thing is, that all works fine in multiplay and on other missions.

Is there anything known about to long buildingtype/animation lists
does the last GDI mission changes some of the original buildings except adding light. (the small changes are uninteresting)
Could there be a problem, that my added old TD Comm.Centre uses the Ion Cannon too? (but in MP it works)
Is there a general problem with TS if you have to much build options allowed that it cant handle them, e.g. if i have both build options GDI and Nod and added to much extra buildings. (i converted and added all TD buildings to TS)
Does the game has a special animationlist-range where it adds undefined animations like the buildup-anims.
But why does it crash also while placing the ion-cannon-uplink.

Maybe someone has an answer, even if i have my doubt.

No, there is nothing wrong with the amount of biulding options that i have ever had on the last mission .

i think thats very strange.

It could be the whiteboy-bug ...

"you are able to build more than 74 objects in a tab, "stuff happens"...in case of Whiteboy, it was just his onscreen-text disappearing, Renegade and DCoder reported their computer froze."

74 is the limit from Yuris Revenge, no idear if its the same or less for TS...

maybe your "Ion-Cannon uplink, a stealth gen or repair bay" give you more than 74, so it just freezes confused.gif

thanks for the explanation.
this could really be the problem.
if have 65 buildable units + 26 infantry = 91 buildable over all
\EDIT counted them: exact 75 units in the list (with superweapons)
and the additional buildings cause the error. (also if i add helipad)
Damn, what can i do? I dont want to delete some of them, or replace the existing. (it should be an enhancement, not replacement)
anyway thanks.

Does the problem also exist for the building list? Maybe i could make some buildable through buildings, which deploy to the unit.

maybe i should go to offset 002cef20h in game.exe and change the 48h in FF biggrin.gif

Erm, you could make some Nod tech unavailable for GDI and vice versa. Such as the Mammoth Mk2, Obelisk of Darkness, Cyborgs of all types etc.

that it is already. Look at my first post. I captured all Nod buildings.
But how can i prevent that an opposite unit is buildable after i captured all necessary buildings? (e.g. how can it be done that GDI can't build the ticktank even after it has captured the nod war factory)

I'm not sure about TS, but fiddling with prerequists should do the job.

Btw, i said those units - Mmk2, Cyborg and Obelisk, because I see the opposite faction would never use them.

Sadly, it doesn't work. you just have to capture the needed buildings and can build all stuff.

The only solution i can think of, is to give the Nod conyard with FreeUnit= an invisible dummy unit, that gets listed in all Nod unit Prerequisites.
This way GDI can capture as much buildings as it wants, but never gets the dummy unit that is needed to build the Nod units.
But Nod can't build its own units as well, if it doesn't starts with a MCV.
