Marching Band Season, Contest Time! Options

Well tonight was the first of 5 contests my marching band while be going to during this season. Our show theme this year is Super Heroes! Our song line up goes like this:

-Superman
-Spiderman
-Batman (Movie)
-Drum Break
-Batman (TV Series)
-The Incredibles

It's a very nice set of songs and the show is quite good as the music goes really well with the show sets. Plus the songs are some that most everyone knows. Our band isn't as big as it used to be...in fact its only around like 65 members or something like that. Amazingly we are still competing in class AAA.

So anyways, tonight was our first contest. I'm not quite sure on the exact scores that we got for each thing but I do know that my band got 3rd best percussion over all. Which means out of the close to 20 bands that were there we had one awesome percussion to get that. According to my band director the main thing we got hurt on were visuals but thats mainly because we don't have many experienced color guard members and in general not many color guard members. We also haven't added all the other visuals to our show yet. So this year should be a really great year for marching band contest.

I will post up the music if my band director makes another recording of us again soon.

So yea discuss marching band and the contests that go with it.
