Well, im pretty new to map making and this will be my first. The problem is i never start small...alsways over the top and very complicated but it normaly works out in the end dance.gif.

So far ive got a map thats a snow map, 150 by 150. Ive put a big rivver going from top left to bottom left with "new york" style bridges and train tracks around the whole map. I've made two civilian army centers on either side, two different types of civilians...the humans and the mutants. Ive edited the civilians and mutantsby giving them guns, and also make them immune to damage so when they travel to the waypoints if selected they will fight each other and not die. Basicaly a mini battle between the map AI's as well as the battle between computer AI and the player. I've made motorways with a range of cars going around on them, and even an airport.

But what i really want to do now, is try some boats from another command and conquer game to travel up and down the river on the waypoints selected ( my last 5 waypoints will be dedicated to this )

I've got Red Alert 2, is there any way to import some of the boats from it using either notepad or Tibed? If yes please can someone help me roll.gif .

Thanks, Biohazard

Yes, there is a way you can take boats from RA2 and put them in TS. However! By doing so you will have to include the following with your map. Voxel file and HVA files of the boats you add, an edited rules.ini and an edited art.ini that include the boats you add.

Personally, by doing that you would A) Take a lot of time getting the boats in-game and set on your map. and cool.gif Less people will be likely to download your map and the other contents due to some people don't like having edited rules.ini as it messes with online games and other such stuff.

It is really a long, kinda boring, process. I am pretty sure there are tutorials already around the forum and at ppmsite.com that can tell you just how to do what you want.

Anyways best of luck to you with this. I may or may not try your map out once it is finished. smile.gif

Well, let me explain more what im trying to do here...

The new, player made C&C called "Command and Conquer - Biohazard". Player submit maps and misions, only the best of the best go in. New Units, Maps, Missions, Rules and many more features...A totaly new game desgined and made by the Tiberian Community...

However this has a twist, you dont need to download it, or even install it...I've just bought two razor servers with 0.75 TB per shell. I didnt buy them for this but it was a plan i had when i finaly got them. I plan to host this new game online...yes, online! Just like the infamous runescape which like marmite you either love or hate ( i hate it im afraid). So this is how it works:

- You go onto the website and sign in.
- You then are added to a waiting room with up to 200 other people per waiting room ( 1 room to begin with ).
- You are then selected depending on the people who have waited the longest into a 4 player multiplayer map.
- You battle it out as normal, and the person with the highest score wins.
- Score is sent to server, and added to the high score page if it is good enough.
- A prize is awarded to the highest score and the scores are reset for the next year.

Ive got all the stuff i need to host it, and to load it all up...all i need now is 10-15 maps, some new units and new ideas for the game.

I'll post this on discusion board as im in need of help for the units/maps and stuff.

Cheers, Biohazard
