We all know that when you activate the Firestorm wall there's the animation of a blue vertical bar that appears, but there's no definite direction.

Is it possible to make it, depending on the formation of the wall, on which direction the anim will face [if i change the anim to include a direction]

Like if the walls is north-south then it's facing east/west
And when it's east-west it faces north/south

you can ask on ppm, but the answer is without much doubt the same: no it's not possible.
the reason is, that in the moment the anim is played, the anim doesn't has any information about the direction of the wall nor the projectile.
It is just an explosion anim and as every other explosion too, you can't have facing specific explosions.

The only chance to make a direction specific anim would be to add an active anim to the wall itself. But then it's played all over the time.

Another quite crazy idea that just came in my mind is,
give every firestorm wall a weapon with damage=0, that has your facing specific anim as firinganim. Then the wall plays the firing anim of e.g. a blue transparent shield effect every time an enemy is near.
Even if it isn't played as the anim for blocking projectiles and stuff, i think this could look really cool. cool.gif

AFAIK, damage=0 restricts the weapon from shooting.

well then a damage =1 would be ok cause the heat from the fire storm would mean that any one close would get hurt

damage=0 works. multiple different weapons use this in my mod. (e.g. spotlight tower warning weapon)
