Networking Problems Options

Having just put 2 machines together just for LAN wars, i installed tiberium sun to both, but when i click on the network option in the multiplayer tab, its seems to just return me to the main menu....... so whats i was wondering was, is there anything i must do to get this game to work across a home network, or how do i play this across a home network thnx for any help

i also get the same problem on red alert 2, when i go into the network options or whatever, i get IPX not available....... whats this ?

sorted, red alert 2 up and running, tiberium sun also, but with TS the game starts, lasts about 2sescs, then looses connection and stops ! any ideas

Whoa, i thought it was just me that had that problem. Anyone have any ideas on what to do, or know why its like that..... anybody?
