Why in hell would they let the books be written the way they were if they had no intentions on following the story? Tis sacriledge and I think it's stupid for them to do it like that.

I'm willing to bet that this will be like every other Halo title. It will come out as an Xbox exclusive, and will get moved to PC 2-3 years later. MS obviously wants to boost sales as much as possible, and another incredible looking xbox exclusive can't hurt.

Note: Halogen was quietly asked by BUNGIE to stop their work, as it was infringing on BUNGIE's IP. MS supposedly had nothing to do with it.
