I'm making a unit for TS:TA, the voxels are finished, and it looks good... in the voxel viewer.

A realy strange thing happens:
  • the HVA for the Main Body contains the info for the Barrel
  • the HVA for the Turret contains the info for the Main Body
  • the HVA for the Barrel contains the info for the Turret
What is wrong? Look!

This has happend to me before but if it works ingame than no problem, of corse i mean as in it looks like it should. But first thing you should do is don't make new code for it that will make more problems.

I tried remaming, but after that, it was changed again...
And ingame i have problems, i only see the Main Body, no turret and no barrel. And what do you mean with making a new code? I thought that the problem was that i wrote somewhere Turret=yes, then I removed it and it didn't work.

The new progam has bugs or it is something else.
But it is weird, it is calt dummy???? Why dont you rename with the voxel program and save.

Well, i tried it with the HVA editor and HVA buider. And that the voxel header don't matter, i think.


EDIT: Problem fixed. Bittah commander helped me on MSN, it was an Rules.ini fault. I wrote Turret=Yes, in stead of Turret=yes. Stupid capitals... But now the barrel looks odd... <_< , but i'll fix it on myself

Turret=xxtur.hva
Barrel=xxbarl.hva

That's as easy as it gets-
Rename them like that.

First, name the voxels and hvas after this
Tank=xx
Turret=xxtur
Barrel=xxbarl

Now make a new mix file with XCC Mix editor and name the new mix expandxx where xx can be anything from 02 to 99

Now create a rules file for your tank, try copying the mammoth tanks rules if your new to editing but if you do this then dont forget to change this
[4TNK] to [YOURTANKSNAME]
Name=Mammoth Tank to Name=Yourtanksname

Example
dennistank.vxl ;
dennistanktur.vxl ;
dennistankbarl.vxl ;
; Create a new mix and move these files there then move the mix to your SUN
dennistank.hva ; directory
dennistanktur.hva ;
dennistankbarl.hva ;

expand07.mix ; Should be moved to SUN directory after files moved into it

[DENNISTANK] ; should be in rules
Name=Dennis mega tank of death
...

[DENNISTANK] ; should be in art
art stuff here, havent got an art file to check for referance atm.
