well as read in the title its finished finaly! (this map had many problems i had to fix pinch.gif )

the story: Kane has been messing around once again and has changed the colour of tiberium! Although its worth a bit more value than the green and blue tiberium, there are also black tiberium which we believe to be the replacement for blue tiberium (and we also believe the red tiberium was a replacement for the green tiberium) one year ago Kane launched all of this tiberium into the city! Ruining the beatifullness of it. The battle of the black and red tiberium has begun!

thanks for reading my so random story lol.gif

ok now screens:

HONEST:

The lighting from light posts are awful. No yellow light posts, use light posts by that dirt road.
You need to tone them down.
Good detail. Some lat pieces look a bit ---------------
Too blocky slopes.

well i cant look at it closely in finalsun just right now but i will later.

from what i can see from the minimap and pics is that
-it looks detailed
-somethings are a little blocky. mostly the water areas i think.
-the lighting.....well you attempted at it which is good. but somehow you made your invis yellow and red ones really blocky looking. which makes the map look bad IMO. the blue ones dont look bad though.
my suggestions for lighting on this one is to lighten up the overall map lighting and edit the values of the red and yellow invis lamps so that they put off a larger radius maybe but not as intense of a light. and that should help out the blockyness of the lighting.
also i think that normal invis lamps do a better job for village lighting than yellow ones.

and i dont know if i like the tiberium that color confused.gif not with that lighting at least......it just seems strange to me. but its alright.

good job. ill give you a more full review later if i get to check it in finalsun.

Still too bright. Adding negative light posts around it might help, or you can just forget about yellow lighting and use alpha light posts.

I... HATE... BLOCKY... LIGHTING!! pinch.gif

As all posts above said, be sure to tone it down... Then maybe it'll be a great map! biggrin.gif

Negative lightposts can be your friend! however I dont think you need any yellow light on this map. It's fairly well laid out, but still.. the yellow gets me. Try adding in just Alphalightposts. They add nice ambience and a bit of light, but not too much.

hmm yeah the newer lighting seems better but still needs improvement.

heres an example of what you want to achieve....
Attached Image

(note in the above pic the only light posts used are alpha light posts and a single regular invis light post. )

can you see the ambiance of the village lighting? as that is what you really want to get to. is to have each area have its own type of lighting. cities to have a city lighting, water lighting for water, special tiberium areas for their colors and so on.

keep working. you are for sure improving. just keep up the work effort and you will get better.

Remember to look at TitanMark's tutorial on how to edit the lightposts.
May I recommend a good teqnuice ?
Dim down tiberium lightposts to very weak ones, and place many small ones. A lot easier that way dance.gif
