Well, I have finsally finished my six-legged mech, and I am pleased at how it turned out. The body texture and turret texture may be too light, but that can be changed.

Story(Might as well tell it):
Nod, seeing how GDI's titan and Mammoth Mark II were such good tanks, Nod decided to buid their own. The first attempts were made, and failed dismally. Their bipedal mechs kept on falling over! Then, they decided to start from complicated, and work down to bipedal, and the Hex is the product of that.
The weapons it has on its single turret are unique. Nod still did not know how to build railguns, their tests had all exploded, killing the techies working on them. The surviving information was then altered to make a semi-railgun cannon. This cannon fired projectiles as normal, but they were accelerated with electromagnets, making them punch heavily into armoured targets. They called this weapon the EMAC.

Please, ask if you can use this in a mod
And dont upload anywhere else without letting me know first.

There may be an artillery version that deploys, once I can shp properly.

Do the weapons on top rotate (Are they a turret)?

I think an ingame screenshot would be nice if you wouldn't mind smile.gif

It seems a bit pointless to put a turret like that on that body IMO. How about making it like a scorpion?

I can make a scorpion tail, if you wish. Should the tail move side to side as it moves though?

Well, I meant the turret it has right now seems rather light and so it's pointless to put it on legs instead of wheels.
Anyway, maybe you can add (with a weapon) a tail and 2 cannons on the front... Or like I suggested in another thread, make it like some kind of heavy cyborg reaper. You could give it a small EMP cannon in it's tail and 2 laser cannons on the front.
The turret it has right now looks like it's it's eyes btw lol.gif

I totaly love the texture on the body, the legs on the other hand now seems kinda dull, you should make the texture on the legs more like the body.
I agree with Bittah on the weapon-system, and he's right about the turret lol.gif
And that window in the front looks like a moustache lol.gif Reminds me of a certain person.

I'd put the turret/weapon on the front, the "mouth" and see how it looks...
It would be more literally speaking, a "tick tank"

Nah, it shouldn't have a turret at all; just 2 barrels on the front and one standing up straight on the back (or just make that "barrel" part of the body instead).

Either way, I think it's more of a "tick" than a "scorpion", a scorpion tail would be a negative, I think

I know this topic is old but I just loaded it into tiberian sun and pieces of the legs are missing. Is there any way to get them to show up or is it just caused by having overlap on the legs?

I disagree. If you want a Scorpian style mech, take a look around the forums, one has already been made and it was done nicely. IMO the body of this mech should be "squished" a little, and then replacing the turret with two side mounted gun (whatever type of guns you'd like) would probably look better.

looks like a spider witha dogs head! (no offence). you should just make the turret a voxel, and then the body a SHP, it will be easier that way, and you dont have to worry about a big HVA.
