Thanks to MM, my mapping has improved. More curved cliffs and such. A new WIP rises though I spotted a few shore errors that are obvious without Framework mode on.

Lets put it in coding. (Yes I know people are annoyed by this)

CODE
[SATELITE]
Name=Satelite City
Prerequisite=DEVASTATE
Owner=You
Players=2
HasTDStructures=True
Lighting=yes
LightingCorrect=yes
DayNightLoop=yes;thanks to Ixith ;)
Category=Multiplayer
Civilians=yes
CapturableTech=true
HasCity=Soon
Size=105x73
NeutralUnits=yes
Veinholes=yes
Cost=DEVASTATE

So first a view of the minimap from what I have.

And some screenshots...

I hope to fix this all up.

From what I can see, your mapping skills have improved. tongue.gif

Though there are one or two things...

Unless there is a building within 1-3 cells of pavement it looks silly, change to rocky ground or something else.
Bright blue doesn't go well with anything really, but try to do some .ini editing to fix the spread of light.
Mammoth tanks are ok but only 1 or 2 because they sort of spoil game play by diverting resources to a unit that belongs to no one.
It's a bit dull in your pics, try to have a tib patch [non permanent] or a grassy/sandy/rough area.

Apart from that, well done and keep it up. wink1.gif

well i still see cliff errors that are evident even with just seeing the cliffs from an ingame pic.

Let's start with the first pic and work our way down...

pic1:
-at the very bottom left you can just barely see a bit of cliffs...judging by the way they look and the shadow you used a 1 or 2 angle piece for the front and then overlapped it with a backside cliff piece. the pieces that make the transfer from Front to back are labeled as 5 and 6 in Marble Madness and you can see the burgundy line on top making a change in direction.

pic2:
-the slope set pieces (the ramps that allow you to get on top of the cliffs) are incorrectly placed. The pieces that should attach to the cliff parts are 1 cell past where they need to be.
-you also have the same problem there at the right corner of the cliffs in this pic as you did in pic 1 it would seem.

pic3:
-the slope set piece i can see is also wrong in this picture
-the mass of hills seems to have a blur effect going on there at the bottom left...my guess is this have to do with the hills exceeding the blue line and thus show white above the blue line. white edges of map is usually the culprit to that blur like effect.

pic4:
-seems you're missing the 1 tile cliff pieces used to keep the change of direction connected. Hard to tell you where they are with just text but they should be easy to be seen when missing in Marble Madness mode as the burgundy line that runs on top of the cliffs isn't fully connected at these spots.

pic5:
-you have two more shore errors not circled by you. One is on the left side edge of the map in the middle, the other is just above the Bridge repair hut.
-you also need to use a Water Cliff Shore transition piece rather than just having the shore kinda square off at the edge of a normal cliff and a water cliff.
-also something tells me that the terrain area in which that VHM is located isn't leveled to the cliffs. It might be the fact there is a tiny black square on the top of the slope set piece there or the fact that the top of the cliff pieces seem brighter than the ground that should be the land on top of the cliffs.
-finally as a piece of advice add roads or small sections of roads that end or turn into dirt near at that bridge as without them it looks kinda out of place.

another suggestion would be to make your hills not always so sudden of a climb up. right now it looks unnatural and like you just clicked the Increase Elevation Hill button several times in one spot in a couple areas on the screen to get these giant hills.

you do seem to have improved but there is still much you need to improve on. just keep working on them and you'll get there though.
