its been buzzing around the communitie for a few days now.
tiberium wont grow outside the designed field its in, this is one of the most fundamental things in the tib universe, tiberium grows everywhere! ohmy.gif
how is it they make tiberium more dangerous but it wont even spread, duse this make any sence to anyone? only logic reason i have is that its comes in the way of the so "wonderfull" fast gameplay

there is an thread over at EA's forum, the more people will comment the better.

http://forums.ea.com/mboards/thread.jspa?m...1889433#1889433

Attached Image

(note: it will most likely lead to notting but atleast they will know that we do not agree.)

edit: some edit in the titel, EA needs to give us some info about it.

It is possible that tiberium doesn't spread across the map in blue zones but does in yellow and red. I didn't sit and watch the tiberium grow on the campaign maps but don't go about criticising yet. It seems people want to jump upon every possible opportunity to fault the game simply because it's got the EA logo stamped on the front. EA can make worthwhile games, get over it.
Remember that blue zones are controlled by GDI and they have their so-called resonance technology to limit tiberium growth.

thats what i thought too, GDI controls blue zones so they stop tiberium spread, in red+yellow it probably spreads normal.

i am aware that tiberium can not spread in blue zones, but schould in yellow/red zones, but its not in the demo. it could be because its simply not in the demo, but dont u think its weard that at EA's forum there is a 20 page thread about this without any of the devs nor pred giving any comment on this?

i'm worried none the less.

down with EA

EDIT: btw u cant ignore EA is leaving out alot of stuff, just to make the game better for online.

What in the Hell...I forget all too often what a bunch of goddamn whiners this community is full of.

If you don't like it, MOD IT WHEN IT'S FRACKIN' RELEASED!

THIS IS A MODDING COMMUNITY. You don't like it, change it. That should've been the damn mantra of the modding community, but once more, through your barely-coherent sentences, you prove that you don't like something, but are unwilling to directly change it, so you whine your ass off in front of a microphone until everyone else's ears bleed.

Deal. With. It.

If EA releases a new C&C, which is supposed to be a sequel to Tiberian Sun, they should release a new C&C, which is a sequel to Tiberian Sun and it shouldn't be nessesary for modders to turn "C&C"3 into a C&C and sequel to TS.

So, uh, where's the secret script that Westwood handed you that distinctly outlined exactly how the game was to be made?

We're waiting.

You're ignorant if you don't notice the amount of twisted and ignored things from TS in C&C3 which prevents C&C3 from being a good sequel.
Aside from that some EX-Westwood employers (who now work with Petroglyph) are releasing small bits of information on what intentions they had for the sequel to TS and what EA is doing with this lousy excuse for a sequel isn't quite it.

Tidbits are just that, Bittah: Tidbits. You can't pull together a story from that. And I agree that there are plot holes, but there aren't many game series out there that don't have this problem. It may not address every issue fully, it may not address others at all, but if you don't like it, make it to your liking with mods. The incessant torrent of poorly-spelled, barely legible ramblings of how EA killed C&C (By not adding walls, from a few select individuals' logic) are starting to grate.

if it comes down to the story i'm still hopefull ( a bit ), but gameplay wise the old CNC is gone imo.
they schould have simply added more options to the game, not just cancel alot of stuff because some people are not ussing it, or its in the way of gameplay, options are the best way to please everyone.

the story is pretty screwed up, but there is always that insane unlikely off-chance that EA magically fixes all this "messed-upness". We can mod it though, so we can take the game and make it twice as good as the unmodded version

If everyone in the community had your ideology then we would be playing the Tiberium Generals demo right now

The word 'fanboy' springs to mind, but im not willing to sink to your CAPS LOCK !!!111 [ranting] level right now

However I must confess, even if this is not the case.. I am completely un-impressed with this demo... completely. Even from a graphical perspective (and I run the game on full graphics settings!)

Time to clean some spam, me thinks.

Okay, 'lil kids, we've all had these debates a thousand times, let's not start it again, I don't want to have to lock this topic... :wink1:

And quit the overreacting, people. It makes browsing this forum much easier rolleyes.gif

Just to let you know (if it makes you all feel better), I don't like it either, but my opinion on this matter is firm, I'm not buying TW unless they fix several (all actually, but that isn't going to happen) of the obvious problems.

But on a more serious note, no more spamming or I'll be suggesting warnings. Tore, ShDwBoRn and Orca?

[sarcasm] YAY I will spam more than ever now, I must be banned!!!! [/sarcasm]

Did I spam? If I did must have been very tired, I don't remember anything. but I am remembering a message I posted here, but that message was on topic.

I am sorry about the spamming.

Off topic part ended.
On topic part starts here.

Ok a bit more serious post this time.

Does Tiberium not spread in Tiberium wars? It does for me, when my haverster has cleaned a tiberium field it regrows.

Im sure it grows, those patches in the demo skirmish map seem to stay the same size even when harvested, and the one near your base spaws small bits of tiberium like it should. Then as Nod, you can make it grow using a Catalyst Missile..

no tore it regrows only within a designated field or a field created by a seeder or something that spawns tib.

I don't think the Catalyst Missile grows Tiberium, just reacts with whatever's there. I think you're thinking of the Seed Tiberium power.

that thing only makes a few tiberium crystals apear where ever u plant it, but still it wont grow outside the fields.
now u have a tidy, easily managed tiberium-garden and can base-build without thought or concern
to a large degree. It's dummed-down and has a very non-immersive
effect on game-play for those who prefer more depth to their strategy
in my opinion.
they schould have never touched it or atleast made an option out of it.

The whole tiberium not spreading issue is probly just either since its a demo and did not want to make it to large they dumded it down or they had a short time and thought well the tiberium will regrow fast enought that the players won't be bothered by it. Also in a past point they said in blue zones that it would only grow so far due to the sonic crystals inhibiting it.

I can see the multiple perspectives in the topic.

I agree with smiffgig. The graphics could be soo much better (Maybe i'm just used to Supreme Commander?)

But also, i see where Mechanical is coming from. There are faults in every storyline. Personally, I could care less... Tiberian Sun will always be my game of choice. It's easily moddable, and the plot set of the TS is amazing.

Overall, I'll play it, but only because it's got Joe Kucan, Grace Park, Tricia Helfier *orgasm*, and that one dude playing as the GDI General who's name i cant think of right now (watch the Sci-Fi channel and he's in 50% of their movies... EA+Sci-Fi anyone?)

EA is ruining CNC, Like Bittah Commander said, It's up to the modders to save CnC.
