Arena Wars is a mainly online game, but can be succesfully played in singleplayer, that in my opinion doesn't get the advertising and recognition it should get. It's a great game where you have to complete different tasks, according to the gamestyle you choose.

At the start each player gets an amount of credits depending on the settings. As usual you spend it to create units that will aid you in your goal. But here comes the tricky part that makes this game special, there is no way you can get to collect/harvest more credits, you get the amount of credits back how much a certain unit had cost you, when it dies. This makes quick planning in this game very important and there are alot of strategies to give you the bonus you need to prevail in the end.

Each game takes place in a small arena, where there are 2 teleporters on each side, wich cannot be destroyed. From these teleporters, you can teleport (build) your units into the arena. There are also power plants just outside the perimeter of your base. When destroyed they trigger an explosion at the players base who owned that power plant, this also deactivates theyr teleporter for...20 seconds if im not mistaken. This is a countermeasure against players who turtle inside theyr base. Power plants WILL regenerate over time, and they can take some serious pummeling.

There are a variety of different gamestyles, including Capture The Flag (CTF), Bombing Run and Double Domination. In Capture The Flag mode, a flag is placed at each players base, and the goal is to steal it from the enemy's base and take it to your flag, but you cant score if your flag isnt at your base, so sometimes if you see that there is no way you can stop the enemy Flag Carrier from getting away with your flag, the best thing to do is to go ahead with one of your fastest unit and steal theyr's, to buy you some time.

In Bombing Run there is a bomb in the centre wich you have to pick up with one your units and take it to the enemys base. The timer of the bomb is set to 20 seconds, You must hold the bomb on the platform in the enemys base for 20 seconds to score, however, you don't have to get the timer to zero at once, if the bomb is dropped and the enemy picks it up again, takes it to your base, the timer will continue when it last stopped.

Double Domination is a game mode, where you have to control 2 points on the map for 10 seconds or so. Kinda like Unreal Tournament in RTS style.

Another thing that makes this game special is that there aren't just hitpoints, its alot more complicated system. Each unit has Heavy Hitpoints and Light Hitpoints, some are more Light based units and some Heavy. Each unit also attacks for more Light Hitpoints and some Heavy, for example, the Tank. This makes each unit useful and you must really think to win in this game, build the right units and constantly build, if you just spam 1 unit, a good enemy just builds theyr counter and will defeat you in mere seconds. Each unit also has special abilities, to enchance the gameplay even more.

Oh and the good thing is that the demo includes everything you need to fully play the game, 3 singleplayer maps, a few short campaigns and even multiplayer! And much more.
Sorry, but i haven't played AW:Reloaded yet, only the original game, so i can't say any statements about Reloaded.

Also a couple of screenshots.
A simple picture showing the scenery and a squad that has captured the enemy flag and now are defending the unit that carries it.

A screenshot full of action.
