dance.gif Hot air balloons! Sweetness! Zeplins! Sweetness! dance.gif I'd say this is one of the most original & stratigec ideas for TS in a long time. I had been playing around with the zeplin idea before I had left for awhile, but mine were more of an iron air-fortress than an actual old fasioned zeplin. Anything that's not useful should be thrown away? Can't agree on that, why don't you go and create a stick and say that "This...is my upgraded Wolverine" and people find that an upgraded Wolverine is useful and spotlight a plain black stick?

I say keep the spotlight.

Who said it should be thrown away? You are very close-minded if you think all non-spotlighted voxels are useless and should be thrown away.

Spotlights are based on a lot of things, skill, effort, creativity, originality, eye candy... practicality is almost irrelevent with graphics, unless there's some cool ini code to go with it..
A voxel is a voxel, and can be coded to be either practical or impractical use, so that category isn't really a big part of the spotlighting system...

Well said Black...

I actualy did a little tinkering and made it drop smoke grenades...

I used the GDI Bomber Projectile base, changed the explosion damage to 0, added a particle system for smoke effect, frame rate and changed to make the smoke linger...

I thought it would look cool, but it didnt do much so i added a +1 damage like when people breath in smoke unsure.gif , meh, it works for me ^^

Hey, TB, I made Hot-air Balloon debris. It's just a quick job off your Nod Balloon. With the HVA positioned to rotate around the 'destroyed' area. It makes good eye candy.

(This is why I asked you how t omake .gifs, TB XD)

The first is the Balloon that has it's basket destroyed.

The second is the Balloon with small indented areas around the impact and exit area

lol.gif heh, that's pretty cool. (You forgot to do your normals though, I think.. )

Since the jumpjet vehicles explode in mid-air, someone could use these to have it crash down to the ground like normal aircraft (Although a hot air balloon crashing to the ground might be contradictory..)

I think I did auto-normal...

Tho only problem with this is that it falls rather quickly.
