EA's freeware release was a pain to install. It was comprised of a Tiberian Sun folder directly copied from The First Decade. It also had a bunch of batch files and registry files people had to install.
This caused a lot of confusion, that left many people with nothing but a broken game.
So therefore:
The http://www.cnc-comm.com/ and http://www.cncworld.org/ proudly presents!

- Installs a few extras; Map Editor, Manuals, Icons
- Installs the themepacks (optional)
- Applies the LAN patch
- Automatically applies registry entires
- Downloads and installs the videos (optional)
- Installs the game itself (obviously)
Tested and works flawlessly on Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7 and Windows 7 64-bit!

Huh. I DL'd it from Westwood a few weeks ago and had no problems.
Nevertheless, this is still a great setup!

Uhmm downloaded what from Westwood? Westwood doesn't exist anymore...unless you mean the Westwood FTP?

Or he means the free version EA release, and is calling EA -> Westwood.

How would I go about installing the movies without downloading them? Considering I have the original disks it seems silly to download them.
Posted by: Devestator Mar 31 2010, 09:13 PM
I use TFD but I have the original disks as well. GDI, Nod, and Firestorm though I hated always having to switch between discs.

I wish it still did.
TD, TS, RA1, and RA2 are the best of all!
