Howdy, I'm new to TD mapping and all, it's a good hobby
But I'm stuck with something, How can I set the tech/build level on my TD missions?
Get this, I've tried setting the "Build Level" tag under "Carry Money" but to no avail

Hi-five to anyone who can solve it or point me in the right direction confused1.gif

Unforunately as far as i'm aware, i don't think you can change the tech in TD maps. sad.gif
Although you could experiment a bit with the build section in basic section and just try putting it to other things than 99 or 98 (Although you have to have it on 98 or you will get a bug)
I'd try putting it on something like 97 or 96,
you never know.. It may be possible.

I've tried setting buildlevel, I even looked at one of Westwood's maps and found that buildlevel was set to 15
I tried that with my map but again - Power plant, Barracks, Minigunner

Has anyone ever mentioned this before? Or were they content to flood the enemy base with minigunners?

If you could show me how to edit the build section or whatevz that'd be sweet

most people have it set at buildlevel 98 anyway, 98 just enables all the buildings for your side.
It's simple to do this. Just simply do what you normally:

and just change it to 98 and it should enable everything...

I did exactly what you said, Buildlevel to 98
But I still get what I recognise as tech level 1 sad.gif

I'm not using Counterstrike to play my maps, but rather naming them scg01ea and so on, thus replacing the entire campaign.
I played my second map aswell thinking the tech level might be hardcoded into which mission you're up to, but my scg02ea has tech level 1 aswell.
Could any of that be a problem?
Counterstrike is not available to me as my disc is scratched

Am I missing something here?

Are you talking about Red Alert? blink.gif The expansion for C&C1 is called Covert Operations!

Anyways scg01ea is some how locked at Tech Level 1...you cant change it!

Ah my bad, Covert Ops, dunno how I got Counterstrike in my head blushing.gif

So I guess the only solution is make my maps to fit the tech levels set by WW
Assuming they go up with each mission.
If they don't... wellll yeah, that'd be really weird

Setting the buildlevel ONLY affects maps in the New Missions list. The campaign overrides buildlevel values by its own mission number.

no prob.

Anyway, it's perfectly possible to play the Covert Ops missions with the GDI or Nod CD, by starting the game with command line parameter "-cdX:" where X is the number of your CD drive. Do note that this WILL make the game hang if the specified drive doesn't contain a C&C CD.

An even easier method is burning a CD with the contents of your GDI or Nod CD, but with the volume label COVERT.
