So did anyone play TT yet? Pretty much everyone says it sucks. And the storyline is still open (so they might make an expansion).

I haven't played it yet. Though I don't get the difference between the gameplay in TW, and TT so why would people hate it any less.
Same graphics, both made by EA.

And yes they should make an expansion if it's the last game. If only Westwood could survive. Maybe they're making a secret WW game that will come out if EA goes down.

to the 1st part....gameplay is different because there are sections where you have the Crawler and don't build a big base so it takes that entire element away when you play as that which is kinda gay in my opinion.

to the 2nd part, yea the probably will make an expansion, every game has had an expansion provided TD's expansion was just extra missions that were somewhat challenging. However, I wouldn't count on WestWood having made a secret game that they are waiting to release chances of that are probably 0.00000001%. For reasons being that EA owns the C&C franchise so if WW were to release something it would have to be through EA or a completely different game that hints at a relation. WW is gone accept it. The mind set that EA is the most evil thing about and WW was God sent is kinda stupid really yes i think WW did a better job with the games before EA took over but there's no telling what they would have done with the games if EA hadn't bought them up and would have been a chance it would have ended up like Duke Nukem Forever, which has been in development and talked about since 1997...13 years now...

But anyways...No i haven't played Tiberian Twilight yet partially cause i can't be bothered to go get a game that i'm not 100% sure will work on this laptop. Plus I haven't even played Tiberium Wars yet which supposedly according to the Can It Work site won't work because of the graphics card used in my laptop even though it meets every requirement and more when you break down the graphics card section. lol So i'll probably go out and buy them at some point and try to play them on here but meh it's not my main concern.

oh, what! So i did come out on March 16?
Their website is misleading as when you click on the countdown timer, the page talks about the preordering period ending, and the only chance to get the extra content.

Nevertheless, I have heard no news whatsoever from Australia about TT.

Even if EA isn't as good to most people compared to WW, it sucks that TT is ending the Tiberian Series. Who knows what will happen to the RA Series.

And yeah about the secret game, not gonna happen of course, but that'd be cool!
And last month, I was at a game store and the TV was showing a preview of Tiberian Twilight, along with a poster that says you can get the first missions for free or something like that...

The demo?
Or maybe that preordering gets you a prequel mission.

I watched the ending cutscenes via youtube. I like the minimalist white foreground, but seriously? That's te ending?

I was on the beta team so me and a few others had the pleasure of knowing how crap it was so we didn't have to waste our money on it. I'm no Westwood fanboy and I am no EA hater but this game was just a pile of sh*t; To each his own I suppose.

I'll probably wait for some friend of mine to obtain it and then try it at his computer.

However, even if the game would be really good (which I doubt it is), I wouldn't buy it because of the DRM (apparently they learned nothing from the failures of RA3 and Spore roll.gif .. this one is even worse since it requires you to be online at all times).

I don't understand the fans who are bashing TT just because it's ending the Tiberian series. It's already 15 years old, and ending the story officially doesn't mean that the series would die (players can always continue the story by modding if they want).

It's one of those movies where they are slowly starting to win at the end, so it pretty much says "It'll happen eventually."

It isn't a bad game but it is WAY too repetative. A match pretty much consists of moving from node to node spamming one unit because the counters are way too confusing to worry about. Personally, I haven't played against anyone but I've played alot of skirmish matches where I pretty much end up spamming Titans or Scorpions (EA didn't even bother to put "Tank" on the end of that).

GDI has power and old units like the Titan and Mastodan which is Mammoth Mk.II
Nod has stealth and lasers with old units like flame tank and stealth tank.
Scrin has many mysterious lifeforms from space.

One question, where did the scrin ACTUALLY come from?

You can actually find them in TD.
You should know it's in TS.
And EVERYONE should know the Scrin is in TW...

C&4 why not?

they arent actually in TD the graphic which many think is a ufo in TD is apparently just a crash so it could just as easly be part of (the cockpit i belive a A-10, Orca, Plane from a videos, etc

In TS the Scrin ship was an alien warship constructed at the end of the last war (TD) BUT there are no aliens HOWEVER it may be alien but how could it get past GDI at the end of the first war when A Kane's armys had been crushed, B GDI have satellites & C it didnt Crash (in TS it was stored in a hanger untill vega gets to it)

In renagade there was a ufo crash because people thought it was a ufo in TD

imo with CnC4 i dont want to know where they come from what i want to know is why they just buggered off and never came back even thought earth will fall

Thats all true Revo.

And you forgot to say about them for TW. tongue.gif

Renegade is a FPS based off TD, but I know a mission has the UFO.

They are alien, not some crashed planes. The strongest evidence of that you can find at the bottom of the C&C1 manual.

The "Scrin ship" you see in TS was built by Kane using information from the Tacitus.

the tacitus is an alien data matrix that apparently can be broken and reassembled without data corruption. It's origin is the Scrin Ship which Kane did not Build

Thanks for that. But weren't Tratos was the one of the only people or THINGS that could read it.
He died so thats why they awakened CABAL because he could read it, but turned on you after getting it. Slavick was tricked...

I wonder what it says.

Also CABAL wasnt re-awakened to read the device, he was re-awakened by Slavik to help collectively lead the brotherhood then once Tratos is killed CABAL is the only thing that can read the Tacitus and so GDI steal his core. Basically CABAL probably planned it all along. Even in TS he, rather obviously, says "my... your plans" during a briefing.

Also C&C4 sucks big time. I too was in the beta and found out soon after I started playing it wasnt very good. It was fun for five minutes but then its just the same thing over and over. It was also obvious the campaign would be repetitive, limited, short and useless so there was no point in buying it.

After playing the beta I can sum it up as this:

C&C 4: Arathi Basin Edition.

Seriously, the multiplayer wouldn't be bad if it was a single game mode, but as the end all be all? They were purely thinking in terms of having it balanced for tournaments without first thinking about making it a game people would want to play.

Well they originally said there'd be multiple game modes (and way more units), but of course that never happened. Even until the last beta edition there was a gamemode dropdown menu.
