It's a little mod i've been working on called "Tiberian Sun:Defend & Destroy" (if you played you'd get the name.)

Some changes...

-Refund rate is 75%
-New units, anims, buildings
-New sounds, voices
-Difficult AI. Especially GDI
-Lots of other changes i cannot explain...

I'll post screenies later. They will be posted in PNG format now that I've seen the truth about JPG.

The AI was orginally changed because of new unit. But I felt that Westwood went a tad (way too much) too soft on the AI.

Some of GDI's new tech...

-Medium Tank
-Railgun Tank (Holy-master's work)
-Advanced Guard Tower (Sadly, ripped from DTA)
-GDI Research Center

Some of Nod's stuff

-Chemical Warrior
-Flamethrower
-Quad Cannon (Azri_apoc's work)
-Sting of Nod (LKO's work)

Nod even has new technologies such as nuke and tesla...

I've been trying out making a campaign myself. Not working too well.

Wow I remember this.
(By the way this is my first topic and post so don't insult me)
I'm not sure if any of you have gotten this, but GDI builds tons component towers. Nod works fine. my disk drive was broken and i got new one. when i start a second skirmish, i get in IE on the 1st line. should i take to CCHyper about this in the "Internal Error" topic?

Welcome to tibweb! nice to see some new modders around here.
Looks like a good project to start with, and get used to the ini and mix files etc.

It's good that you're recognizing the authors of the assets you're using, it's also good to make sure they know that you'd like to use their stuff.. I know I would, just to know that it's being put to good use

I don't think the IE has anything to do with the disc drive. There's some troubleshooting you can do with that. Right off the bat I'd suggest removing any mod files that might be in the folder. If you have any voxels make sure they have corresponding .hva files, or it'll do that to you. I'll start with that ans see where it leads

uh TB, i didn't say the IE was the disk drive. I add new stuff while old drive was broken. it was from the new stuff...

hold on, i took out about 20 things i had added and i do not get the IE lol.gif
i will do one at a time and see what units or buildings are causing this

Wow, what a lot of stuff, I don't know though whether or not one should use tanks/buildings from other C&C's.

Though, are any of the voxels/Shp's yours or are they others? (Can't tell).

Good work, nice to know people are still coming up with new mod ideas for TS. You can add a lot of new stuff in and get them to work, that's decent. The only thing I would suggest is perhaps, contacting the authors for permission to modify, so you can edit the objects to match TS a little better. Usually just a slight recolour, but it can go a long way wink1.gif

Best of luck on continuing this project.

Most stuff converted from RA2 or downloaded from TibWeb and PPM. I can recolour and resize however.

And thanks for that comment MT. I work on this, but I wish I was done with this and working on "C&C Element War" my much bigger mod.

The Zone Trooper is a special heavily armored unit. These are armed with lasers. (I haven't played TW myself so I don't know what they really do)

I don't want all the info cluttered in one post so here is Vehicle Info.
Note:At the moment, the build speed is very fast now so the AI can quickly build their forces. Without this, half of the fun would be gone.
Some stuff GDI sends on AI 2.

The Railgun Tank is basically a Mammoth Mk. II that can't fire at air units. The AI builds this unit on all levels.

Here is a rough match I had just now. I ended up losing because two Brutal Nod AIs were going berserk on me with the aircraft forces. The force is only 5 Banshees, 3 Vultures(Artwork:The BEST STEALTH BOMBER) and 3 Nod Airships. (The Kirov type voxel I found in Ultima Mod)(Not sure who to credit)

if the refund rate is 100%, do the sold buildings still spawn infantry? Otherwise, you can kinda make entire free armies of minigunners tongue.gif

Pretty much but Tiberium has three to four times as much value because most of the new units are expensive. Also, there is a special tiberium that has a value of 50000. This is only needed for TechLevel 10 so the Nod Ultra Truck and the GDI Ultra Car can be built. (Cost is $5000000)(5 million)

(You should see Nod Ultra Truck's elite weapon which is only possible to get by killing other Nod Ultra Trucks and other GDI Ultra Cars. However, GDI and Nod don't build them so I created a map with 6 GDI Ultra Cars that have very low health)

Which part?

Update:I created backups for MAPS01.MIX and MAPS02.MIX (the original ones) and edited the missions to match my AI and have my new units.
I figured that if you can replace FS missions by putting the maps in the directory, then the only way to replace TS missions is by replacing MAPS01.MIX and MAPS02.MIX.

the only way you're going to raise that much money is if both players are uber uber campers.. Not to mention your war factory will be tied up for super long. You'd be better off spending that on bombers or titans or something
It would be more practical if you nerfed the car/truck down to a level where it was not utterly unstoppable and charged around 5000 for it.. Even so I'd still oppose a unit like that

Yes but if I have Missile Trucks guarding my base, the only threat is aircraft. The Missile Trucks are expensive and five or more can take out any taskforce except for the one where the AI sends Missile Trucks.

Why destroy the weapons factory? After 10 minutes of destroying taskforces on AI 2 I get 600 kills so I can reach 10,000 which is what I plan to do.

The largest taskforce in the game is a GDI force with 87 units.

@Team Black:I guess I could decrease it but not too much. Which reminds me, the Ultra vehicles are the only ones that can survive the nuclear explosions. I was trying to make the nuclear missile superweapon but it wouldn't work right from the tutorial so it did lots of damage. 20,000 from one explosion. Maybe it could be decreased to 1,000.

Ehh, I was just referring to the fact that a unit that costs 5 million will take forever to build. During that time, that player can't build any other vehicles. So that's the perfect time to attack him with normal units, gradually wipe out his army, and destroy the factories to make sure the super unit is never finished.

The AI doesn't build the super units as the only threat to them is another super unit. And it's not 5 million. It used to be 1 million and I recently changed it to 100,000. Besides, in some taskforces such as aircraft, Nod's heavy aircraft attack has 5 banshees, 3 vultures, and 3 Nod Zepplins. However, they will have twice as many units hanging around their helipad.

Like I said, the only thing that can dent super units other than other super units is Nuclear Explosions. About 15 explosions to do one dot of health.

AI? I was referring to multiplay. If the unit is so horribly tough, it's pretty obvious to hit it while it's still weak - inside the weapons factory tongue.gif

Vulcan Droid
The Vulcan is pretty much a Wolverine but it's faster and look, it floats! A great unit on low tech levels.
Weapon=Wolverine's weapon
Elite=Harpie's weapon
Cost=575
Prerequisite=GDI War Factory
TechLevel=2
Speed=fast
Armor=light
StrongVS=Infantry, Light Vehicles
WeakVS=Aircraft, Base Defenses, Buildings
UnitRatng=4/10-->10/10 on low tech levels.

Yep I have more in store.
