TiberiumWeb.org Community Forums _ Tiberium Wars Discussion _ The Berne Mothership spawns whenever I load a mission!

Posted by: Winged One Aug 20 2008, 10:43 PM

That's right! Whenever I load a mission, whether it be after my base is finely defended with a huge army, or to right after the the mission starts, the mothership is called upon. I understand that this is only supposed to happen after you destroy one of their bases, but I have not! It seems to be a bug. Any way to fix this?

EDIT: A reinstall fixed this.

EDIT 2: o wait, no.

Hm...I wonder if patches have anything to do with this.

As expected, I played without the patches and, lo and behold, this bug was not present. I would, however, like to play with the assorted bugs fixed and the gameplay balanced. Any way to fix this issue after I install the patches.

Installing the patches also seem to tamper with the loading screen. While playing the GDI campaign, it seems to make the loading screen a collaboration of all three factions. Weird.

so as soon as you started the mission you'd get toasted by a mothership? ouch

Well, not exactly. If I restart the mission, everything is fine. The loading screen is correct, and the bug is not present. If I load, however, to any point in the level, the bug will occur, where the loading screen turns into a collaboration between all three factions, and ANY special event happens right off the bat.

It wasn't a bug with that level alone, apparently. Any event that happens during the level after a certain criteria is met happens right after the level is loaded. For example, in Rome, if I load a game, the super portal opens and someone screams "There are ion storms everywhere!"

This is getting ridiculous. I really do not want to play without the patches, but it seems like I might have to. If there is anyone who has even an idea of what is going on, please help!

So, basically sorry for double posting again, but I just realized there is a support forum for just this topic.

I'm gonna repost this there, so feel free to delete this thread. A cookie if you move it there yourself.
