My first map in almost a year, it's a fairly simple four-player map with more than enough tiberium. Like all my maps, it's fairly suited to shortish battles and the players are at each other's throats within the first few minutes. Requires Firestorm to play.

red lighting needs toning down unless that was caused by your mod.

looks great. i checked it out in finalsun and i didnt see any errors or anything. i think it will be a fun map to play on. smile.gif so ill have to play it later.

but i must agree. i dont see any real need for invis red light posts there.....i suggest at least toning them down some.

It was supposed to be more toned down but when I lowered the redness even slightly it disappeared altogether. To be honest, I feel it blends quite nicely with the lighting around the tiberium field but it shouldn't be so bright. The red I feel shows the main areas of conflict and looked more exciting fighting the enemy within a reddish glow rather than the standard blueish feel of the bases.

EDIT: Updated with the brightness toned down a bit, map's been updated.

Clazzy, I didn't know you had mapping skills. I like the map, but I'd remove that funky lightning if I were you.

You didn't? I was also in the second OMC (came second) and did a lot of mapping for Novus Ordo. If you've played it, I did Chasm, Trench, Forked, Watering Hole, Ghosts and Overcast. I also converted all of the maps that are from RA2 (and touched them all up) and beautified some of the original TS maps (off the top of my head I did Tiberium Garden Redux, Narrow River, They All Float and Duel). I've been mapping on and off since 2000, it's just that I don't often release work to the public.

I still don't really see much of a problem with the red, it isn't overly bright any more and at least makes the map more colourful and interesting. Shall I tone it down a little bit more to appease you all?

I think you did exceptional. The whole red lighting thing adds to the impact of battle (that's where it seems most conflicts are at). I'm thinking of doing something similar (lighting wise).
