The first expansion to C&C3 has been released today. It should be on the shelves already.

If you have the game pre-ordered, it also comes with an RA3 beta key.

Yeah, I'm gunna play it now biggrin.gif

My last time on untill tomorrow afternoon. I'll be going onto Fort BLiss with my dad to the PX. (It's a Army/Air Force store chain.) I seriously doubt they'll have Kanes Wrath, (They never have ANYTHING.) but I'll be looking. If I do get it I could try to write a quick overview of the game after my first try at it.

EDIT: Any time I see anything about Kanes Wrath, there's always something that says "The fist expansion pack to the game." Does this mean thery'll be more to come? I don't do much CnC3 stuff anymore, so I have not read much on Kanes Wrath.

Well EA said it once, and people are assuming there will be more.

On the whole it is a good game. It is so much better than C&C3 in far more aspects. It's much more balanced, the storyline checks out (For example, in one mission you have to capture that GDI liquid tib scientist. Remember in the GDI campaign, where Boyle wants to use the Ion Cannon? Yeah they did that part quite cleverly).

I think the campaign also has a lot more 'heart'. You take a roll as a commander, the only one that didn't ditch Kane, then he makes you into something, you'll have to find out for yourself.

The missions are much more fun, and the Wolverines and Titans worked well. It's not just: 'Oh, lets bring back Titans and Wolverines for the fun of it! The people will love us!'. It has more of a backbone.

The new units are done well, because they always have some sort of counter. For example, the Nod AA vehicle owns aircraft, but not ground units. The stealth artillary is good against things at long range, but hasn't much armor.

I really expected this to be a 'OVAPOWER NOD' expansion, but I think they portrayed Kane and Nod as being in a bit of a crisis. For example, the opening cut scene is where Kane walks in the room, and it's dimmly lit, and explosions aree going on out side. He talks about how Nod has gone into splinter factions. the first mission is to corrupt a South American city called Rio.

But there are one or two quite annoying issues. I think the Steel Talons, the ones with 2nd tib war tech, are a 'lil overpowered. I think, hopefully, a patch or two can fix this, but there is no 'real' counter against tanks and armored units, exept more tanks. I really wished Nod had put effort into EMP technology as well. This would be VERY useful.

Also, some of the story line is a bit fake. If you don't want to read this, don't.

It starts off with Brother Marsios (or something) assassinating Slavik, and taking control of the Black Hand. He then thinks Kane is dead, and so does the world. He tries to re-unite Nod, but saying Kane is fake and wrong. Brother is captured, and Kane spares him (I think). In a cut scene, his metal plate, he just pulls of his head, and it's a helmet.. -.-

Anyway, I'll continue to buy these games, due to my love of C&C. I never really liked any other RTS game.

Over all, I'd rate this game 8.8/10

I rated C&C3 a 6/10

Lol. I went to both the PX and WalMart, and they both did not have Kanes Wrath. I asked someone at Wally World but they said the game wasn't even shipping yet to El Paso. *sigh*

I knew I should have ordered it, but if I do now it'll take more time than waiting for it to get shipped.

EDIT: I did a little research, first at the WalMart site then at the EA Store site. Both do not have any references to the 360 Kanes Wrath. Then I remembered, I'm an idiot, that the game for the 360 isn't out yet, but the PC version is. I'll just have to wait...

Erm.... I won't answer that. tongue.gif

Lol. Well, I was in ROTC before I moved, I'm always out with friends, I was on the soccer team before the season was over, I'm always playing paintball, I go to a lot of concerts, I'm thinking about joining a band (I play the guitar.), and I just got a new girl friend, but I won't know her for long since I'm moving again this year after my dad retires. Then I'm going to college, and hopefully it will be the Air Force Academy. All that among hundreds of other things, I think that's a life.

And you misspelled life.

Off topic.

I came back to edit my last post and well....

I'm getting live. I thought you meant like a life. But you know it's kinda hard to understand what you mean with just 'Do you have Live?'

It's okay. But I forgot to mention I already have two free month subscription cards, so all I need is a 50 ft cord to go into my room so I can hook up Live.

I won't move my 360 cus' my better tv is in my room, and I have surround sound in there and everything. I decided to get a cord only because it'll be cheaper than getting internet in my room.

I just watched all the KW cutscenes on youtube, I'm not impressed.. even the corniest of the TD cutscenes were better

They address you (the player) as 'Legion' apparently you're an AI like CABAL? what's-her-face has drama issues, Kane can't figure out his 'children' from his 'brothers'..

He takes the mask off just random.. "Look at the future" .. *takes off mask* ... "HAHA fooled you - it was fake all along!"

I was depressed with all the stupid TW clips, but now this, it hurts!

I wish EA wasn't run by children... At least the graphics for the game will be okay.

The thing I liked about CNC was the CG movies, now they got rid of those, I liked the Tiberium Sun cutscenes, they were so original, and also in Generals, the thing I loved about it were the ingame movies, with units getting in formations and stuff, but now, EA has to get rid of CNC's two best things, so if I ever play this game, mark my words, I wouldn't have paid a single cent.

That's not really saying much, C&C acting has always been that way, save the almighty James Earl Jones.

Over the top and cheesy has ALWAYS been the C&C way.

I disagree. You can see an obvious difference between the C&Cs that came after TS and TS and the C&Cs that came before it. Very coincidentally after TS is also when EA got involved in everything.

Oh yeah. You did, lol.

Anyway, Corsair might not have mentioned it anywhere, but Nod Strike, I finally got Live.

And quite actually, CnC Generals didn't have very bad acting and cutscenes, and I think they were actually the best from the entire series. Correct me if I'm wrong though, I haven't played that one years too.

Generals had as good as no cut scenes aside from the few news reports you see.

Also... "You can see an obvious difference between the C&Cs that came after TS and TS and the C&Cs that came before it." innocent.gif

In CNC generals they made cutscenes with the game engine, and I liked that allot, they also did that in TS, for example the first GDI mission.
