My second finished map! dance.gif

For those of you who played and finished TW's Scrin campaign, this 3-player map should look familiar. wink1.gif

I'll let the map preview speak for itself on the map design, but you can't really get the full experience from it since it doesn't catch the triggers and ambience.

I made two versions, the first is just the map, titled "Threshold 19."

The second has a bunch of gameplay changes I threw in to change things up a little. The modded map is titled "Kane's Tower" so you can have both maps at once. A full change log is in the download's read-me.

Have Fun!

1) Upload the map as a .zip instead of a .rar (although I do have a program capable of extracting RARs, not everyone does).

2) Upload your screenshots as PNGs or JPGs instead of BMPs. Your screenshot is 22mb, it takes 3½ minutes for me to view it. Also the forum doesn't show a preview of BMP images.

Do that and you'll get comments about the map itself.

This map looks nice, however I think you should tune down the green lights a bit. wink1.gif

The terrain looks quite good, but you should edit the lightposts; they're way too strong currently.

You should also avoid using large patches of that green tiberium-colored terrain (forgot what it is called). I'm not sure about the gameplay, it looks like you can have 20 harvesters and they'll all have enough tiberium to harvest (since each player has dozens of tiberium trees next to their starting position). The layout itself looks good (although it could be better).

Okay, here's a pic of the new lighting. I think it's better.

Also, yeah you're totally right about the tib-fields. I've been playing a lot of TW lately, so yeah lol.gif I've reduced the number of blossom trees per field, so that the fields can actually run dry instead of insta-growing

BTW The 3 Kodiaks at the bottom are part of a trigger involving the GDI airfleet. You can see a bunch of Orcas and transports flying around the map, but if it gets too distracting, you can blow up the Kodiaks to stop them from appearing.

Having just played the map id like to say Great job

only suggestion would be, reduce the blue lighting a bit around the scrin ship and maybe introduce some extra different coloured lights arround the waterways or city building and to change the lights in the base a bit (other than that i think the lighting is perfect, it was the lights and isometric terrain which made me fall in love with tiberian sun (Reminisces at sight of the waterfall on Storms with the OTT coloured lighting, or at least how his young mind saw it)

only other comments would be id watch the fiends, the Red Ai lost his/her harvester early doors when trying to harvest near the clift and lost several units crossing the bridge other than that it was only the issue that the top starting location didnt have planes to distract them.
