Read this topic firsti've been looking into alternatives for the over-cliche CNC3 mod theme - everybody's making mods following the same idea, and it's becoming pretty boring, nothing very special at all...
I know RA 1.5 doesn't have much to boast at this point, but it's something we can work off of.

won't be moderating it (but will still have equal rights as everyone to voice their ideas).
My idea is that it doesn't follow any strict canon of the CNC story, whether or not RA is connected to Tiberim and what-not. . .
it's become too difficult and frustrating to try and link everything together. So why bother? What we're aiming for is gameplay, and for that we're combining elements from both RA1 and RA2 (as much as is possible in the TS engine.
Now, we're not going to be afraid to color outside the lines a little with the story. We've all pretty much agreed that CNC's story is ruined forever, and there's little sense to try and connect everything at this point since EA took it into their own hands. The word of Ishmael isn't the word of God, people, and it's really being a bugger keeping up with "What would Westwood do?" and all that.
The truth is, we'll never know. So stop looking. CNC is whatever you want it to be, so let's just break out of the box and do something original with it.
Or you can vote "no" and stick with the same cliche boring mod that every other mod is based on. Quite honestly we wouldn't be abandoning any of our previous work, because there's little actual work that we've done for this mod, except for TSN's logo - which can pretty easily pass for a soviet dude anyways if we wanted it to.
