well i do know how to make them work, but they always enter the map from the wrong place, they always enter from the top when i want them to enter from a different place on a map. It's 3 grenaiders that i want it to reinforce. It's a little annoying seeing 3 grenaiders running half way accross the map just to get to it's location! wacko.gif

You have to set the Edge tag for each player.
eg.
[GoodGuy]
Edge=South
tells the Game that Reinforcements come from the south
you find it in CCWMap under Settings/Houses

To make reinforcements enter the map at a special point along the map-border, you have to edit the border cells one cell outside the ingame visible area. Adjust for that manually X and Y to 0 in the ini to edit the North and West Border Cells. For the South and East Border Width=63 and Height=63 in the ini. Place there water or background rocks, but no Overlays or Terrains, because TD can't handle much of them and skips them if they are too much.

The Rocks outside the ingame visible map and a small stripe where the reinforcements should come from

EDIT: Still doesn't work, confused.gif i've put rocks all around the outside of the map exept the place i want my grenaiders to come but now nothing comes at all.

how big is your map?
Maybe the border must be bigger than 1 cell if your map is smaller than 62x62 cells. I only made max-sized maps so i don't know if reinforcements on smaller maps come from farther outside or not.

Do you set your edge tag? if your reinforcements first waypoint is in the north and they are forced to come from the south it could make problems. Make the first waypoint 5 to 10 cells away from the spawning location, so the game doesn't has to make a big path analysis.

How many units are in your reinforcement team? If they are too much they can stuck each other.
e.g. if you left only 1 cell in the border and want 5 mammoths to come out, they without much doubt get stucked.

Are your Triggers correct?
Post your Triggers for your reinforcements or your map here and i can take a look.

So your Northern Border is at Y=0, Southern at 63, Western at X=1 and Eastern at 63?
Maybe it helps if you make the West Border twice the size, on X=1 and X=0.

Do you forgot the map corners? if you always set only one map-size paramter to max+1 you can't block the 4 map corners. So maybe your units stuck there.

now it works. all i did was fixing the border around the map. you still had holes where they shouldn't be. For example behind the small hill right next to the spawning point. if units come out there, they can't find a way to the first waypoint, because they are trapped on the hill.

It's pretty much impossible, but you can have land and naval reinforcements coming from different borders of the map.

and with transport helicopter you can have 3 different reinforcement points. wink1.gif (helicopter can also give more than 1 position due to the waypoint they head for)

concerning land reinforcements: You can try using waypoints. If you have 2 seperate open stripes along a map border and put on both stripes a waypoint, maybe the reinforcement units come from there if you give them the respective waypoint. But i haven't tested this. It could also lead to units stucked at the map border, because they can't reach the waypoint.
