1996. One year after the launch of Tiberian Dawn - or simply "Command and Conquer" as it was known to me back then.
I came across TD while over at a friends house. As the time approached that I had to go home, I noticed the box for TD lying on a windowsill. I asked what it was, and he said that it was "Command and conquer". After a few minutes of playing it, I was addicted to it. I only had about 10 minutes of playing it when I first played it, but after that I decide that I would play it more often, which I id. So, I played TD with my friend for a while after that. Unfourtunatley, my friend moved away, and took TD away with him (NOOOO!). That was all the C&C I had then until 1999.
1999. A few months after the launch of Tiberian Sun, a year or two after the launch of RA1 and the varous expansions for it and TD.
I came across TS while out shopping - The memories of TD filled me, and I wanted it so very much. Unfourtunatley, I still did not have a PC of my own at this point, so playing was out of the question....
2001. Launch of Windows XP.
At this point I got a PC, all new and shiny with Windows XP. With it I bought Half-Life, which kinda kept me busy for a good long while. But eventually, later in the year, I got round to buying Tiberian Sun. I played it almost as much as HL.
2002-2003. From there, I bought the rest oif the C&C games, but TS remained my favourite. I started playing TS online, and, while being owned owning, I heared about "Mods". Egarly, I downloaded some, and discovered the potential of modding. The first mod I got was the "Ultima" mod, and that had the ini files readily available to edit myself. So I started to mod another mod, teaching myself as I went along. After that, I decided to find out how to make my own mod, from scratch, and I ended up in the Tiberiumsun forums (the really old ones, when the url was still www.tiberiumsun.com/forum). And as that moved to revora, and finally here, I followed. And here I am right noiw, still at it.
[/flashbackmode]
Whew!. And that's the short version!.

i remember loving TD, while all other kids liked something weird called "red alert". it wasnt untill a few years later that i found out its both C&C. i got to know TD cuz good ol' daddy had it, along with the expansion pack. I always played the nod mission where you start in a desert with an MCV, but not knowing how the game worked, i always ran out of power, shutting down the radar after placing the airstrip, and increasing the production times, which made me always lose. somehow, the disks got lost, and i didnt play for a while. when i was looking for them once again, i decided i schould just buy them, as the old ones apparently broke in half. i returned home with TS, which i at first thought was weird looking, but which i also started to appreciate quickly. then i got firestorm, and the Worldwide Warfare package. renegade and generals soon followed, but nothing ever lived up to the first time playing TD and TS.
i learned modding the same way as creagor here.

ok simply put (but long) here is what happened. when i was really young like 5 or 6 i remember seeing my 2 cousins playing RA1 against each other it looked cool. but then like 3 years later my brother gets TD ( i think either my cousins got it for him or it was in a giant collection of games that somebody else got him) anyways he played it and liked and i loved the game. eventually he gave it to me and i started playing it more. but then i was wanting the newer ones.....TS and RA2. TS had been out for awhile and RA2 for a lil bit too i think. so eventually my sister's boyfriend gave me an extra copy of TS he had. i played it a lot. Then one day while in Wal-Mart (a very evil store but i was forced to go in) so i decided i might as well go into the electronic department and see what PC games they have there. and thats when i saw the CnC collectors edition pack which came with TS, FS, Renegade, RA2, and YR. despite already having TS and RA2 (got RA2 for Xmas later that year) i got the pack for $20. but sadly i was grounded at the time so i had to wait..... :( . finally when i was ungrounded i installed and played FS and loved it. then about 2 years later when i finally got a new computer and a cable modem i started doing searches for mods and stuff and eventually came across PPM and Tumsun around the end of November (AKA last year) then after awhile dling mods and playing them and looking at news of new mods i dled some of the stuff like SHP builder, Voxel builder, and Finalsun. (and FA2 from somewhere else) during these times i had also found the Afterglow network and quickly learned how to edit the ini files and stuff. then i came across the forums which i stupidly somehow didnt see the forums link........so then after awhile of making some crap maps i decide to join the forums and focus my attention on making a slightly better map. (we are now up to march 24th, 2006) i then released that map. That map was called.......ya know maybe i shouldnt say what that map was called cause im almost ashamed of it but then again we all have to start somewhere... anyways there my long story for ya

It was three years ago at my Grandma's house, I had just finished a great deal of chores she needed my help with and I had settled down to watch G4. X-Play had just ended and Cinematec was on, which I usually don't watch but decided otherwise. The first thing they played was the opening sequence to Red Alert 2 Yuri's Revenge, and after it was over I thought "Damn that looks stupid" and went on my merry little way to USA Network.
A few weeks later I was over at a friends house to play video games and as we whooped each others asses in Super Smash Brothers I noticed a funny little box on his computer desk. There it was, the face of Udo Keir staring deep into my soul. I asked if I could take a look at the box and did, then asked if I could borrow it. He said it was old and maybe I'd prefer to borrow Generals, I said this would be fine as my comp wouldn't run Generals.
I went home and placed the disk in only to be greeted by things I had never seen. I had played RTS's before but not like this, this was acctually fun. As I made my way through the Soviet Campaign I sat in awe taking in all the new things that I had never known to exist. I kept his game for near five months before giving it back, becuase he asked for it back.
Two months later for my birthday I shelled out 20 bucks for the Command and Conquer Collection. And then my life as I knew it ended, and my life as I now know it began...

1998, I was given the demo of the game by my friend (at the time). Played it repeatedly and bought the game a few weeks later (after saving up my lovely pocket money). Loved it so much that I got the original for my birthday and eagerly awaited TS a year later, where I eventually discovered map making and joined the community. Funny fact, I only completed TD (that includes the Covert Ops missions) two years ago. There were a few missions in Covert Ops I could never do and I cracked them when I reinstalled it a couple of years ago. Now that's longevity.

Ah, the memories.... When TD came out my older cousin bought it and I watched him in awe as he played.. From then on, every time we went to my cousin's, I would play C&C as much as I could...RA1 same thing.... then TS came out. It was a game unlike any other, I'll ne'r forget. :( sadly, it was too advanced for my win95 :( but by 2000, when Firestorm came out, I got access to me [former] step fathers Win ME, and bought the TS/FS combo pack (...the stupid ME which @#$ up the game form time to time).. I liked the game so frekin much, and visited westwood.com whenever I got the chance. It was there that had a link to tiberiumsun.com, and I've been visiting it, checking out the mods, and fooling with rules and art .ini files... we moved from my [ormer] step dad's house though b/c that guy was a moron, and my TS game sat on a shelf for a couple of years... To make up for the loss, I bought TD to play on my PS2... then I got a win 98 last summer, and was once again reunited with the most addicting game e'er created...Tiberian Sun. Since I was abble to play TS again, I decided to finally enlist as a member of tumsun...as "SHAZAA" (like "shazam" without the M) tiberiumweb came and I decided to enlist as "Team Black", based on the Project 86 song, because Project 86 ROCKS. Then I got my lptop last month and I'm ready to break heck loose on the world. Bwahahahaaaa!! That's my history, as far as C&C and Tiberiumsun

A gloomy day...approximately 9 years ago...a father of a child had brought a PlayStation One...and a game from the child's uncle's workplace...although the game was recommended for ages 18+, from the moment the child saw the game...he was h0_0ked! (not literally )...and the game was...Command & Conquer. "I always remember the first GDI missions (up to the mission you get ORCAs) very unclearly and mysteriously, but they had this weird effect on me. I wanted to play the game, but my dad didn't allow me to. Perhaps it was good he didn't, considering my possible future. Well, when I was 10, I first time got to play that game. I quickly learned how to play it, and I was so excited about it. I beat those missions even my dad couldn't, and finished the game. Soon I realized I had a friend in school also having C&C games, like Tiberian Sun, Red Alert 2...etc. So, we borrowed our games to each other. Last year I finally got my hands on TFD. Nowadays, some of my school mates twit me with the fact I like to spend my time alone, modding TS. I don't mind about it. We all have strange habits. " this was the story of Agent Yuri o07...or me, and how he got addicted to Tiberium...err...C&C. @Chielscape: *sarcastic laugh* I have completed the campaigns of all C&C games, not including Zero Hour and Renegade, though...

I swapped worms 2 for Red alert 1 with one of my mates... And that's the end of that story.

Well.. mine's pretty strange.. a friend of mine, Jason, brought over TS to play when he spent the night way back in 2002... I didn't care much for gaming then, so I just flipped on the TV and fell asleep watching Stargate... I moved about a month later and found the box with the game in it. I thought nothing of it and put it away in the top of my new closet. A year later, i got my own PC (Emachines E-tower with 711MHz Proccessor XD) and thought ahh what the hell why not.. so I installed it....
I played the NOD Missions...
I was like "I f*cking love this game!" and kept on and kept on.
About two years ago I bought Firestorm.. and got bored with it and searched for cheats (to play around in skirmish) in which i stumbled upon the TiberiumSun.com forums... I remember my first ever post was a new topic titled "Tiberian Sun needs more of a NAVY"....
To this day I have never completed the firestorm campaigns (never really had a motive... just to busy modding and playing Supreme Commander)

My first game ever was Dune II, yeah very old game, I had 5 years when I first played it. I really loved the game, though I never finished it at that time. Few years latter my uncle came from Australia to visit my family, and brought some CDs with him. My PC was upgraded during that time, so I could use those CDs; one of the games that were there, was TD. I didn't pay it much attention until I realized that the company who made TD was the same that made Dune II, so I gave it a try, and became addicted to it, then I got Red Alert, and my addiction for the series started (there's a big gap between TD and RA1, called Warcraft II, and another between RA1 and TS called Starcraft ). I started modding, because I wanted to cheat, but when I realized that I could do more than cheating, I started to do what we call modding. BTW, it's funny that I was also introduced into Command and Conquer by my dad, at least in an indirect way, since he was who presented me Dune II.

I started modding when tiberian sun came out and yes ,That was when i came up with TS:DOTL for a odd reason i wanted TA and TS to be one game so i could play, Sadly im still working on TS:DOTL

At some point in my youth my grandfather gave me some pirate copy of Tiberian Sun which he bought in Pakistan (...) which I played with interest. It felt like quite an odd game and I didn’t really think of it as part of the mainstream gaming media. I saw Firestorm in some shop one day and made my uncle buy it. It had a manual! I began to suspect that this elusive “Westwood Studios” company was in fact well-funded and professional. Then I bought Red Alert and to top it all off, Red Alert 2 came out, reinforcing my tentative suspicion that C&C was actually something big - and I found TiberiumSun.com lol. I didn’t buy RA2 but my friends did and then they bought Generals etc. and then after massive disc loss, I bought The First Decade and preordered Tiberium Wars. So here I am. With Tiberium Wars. Not dead. Awesome.

Oh... I really don't know the year I started, but I know how it started: Black Hawk and I began to be good friends, and at a time he brought a Twilight CD with him to me. TS was on it, an illegal version No movies I started playing it, and liked it. I only played skirmish for then, always at AI 1 and Tech 10. That's because I didn't know that I could change it. I wasn't able to read English as well I can now. Then I discovered the campaigns and played them. Then I found out that there should be movies in TS. I bought the legal version, because I was getting sick of that illegal version. And then Black Hawk discovered the mod New Dominating Sun, brought it to me, and we played it. At that time I had finally Internet. That would be, hmm 9 months ago? He found more mods, and showed them to me. I was searching on the Internet for more mods, and came at PPM. I also came at old good TumSun. I found the "all ini files.zip". Downloaded it, and began reading... OMFG, I've read the whole rules.ini file, but at that way I discovered modding. Told Black Hawk how to mod, and we started f*cking up TS. Making every unit mega strong Then I registered at the forums, and bla bla bla bla... Now I want to buy TFD, and now I'm going to play APB

Well mine was Red Alert 1. Somewhere in 1998 i was looking for a video (we had no DVD's then ) in a shop with my mum (i was only either 4 or 5 years old then btw.. ) and i found the video i was looking for and i also found RA1.. Lying next to it in it's original cover i asked my mum if i could buy it and she said yes so i brought it home and played it, and boy.. Those were some good times! But a few years later i notice that TS is almost in every shop i went in! And at first view i thought it was the second C&C game which i was wrong, but little did i know that RA1 was the second C&C game, i did a search on google and found out that TD was before RA1, at that time i didn't know what TD was but found out by google images so i then knew this was the order they were all made: TD --> RA1 --> TS and then when i was 10 years old i found out about.. EA!! Which back then i thought EA helped out with RA1, i finally found out the truth about EA and from then on hated them.. Topics merged -Team Black
