Well I was playing some DTA 1.09 today and got an IE. I have a feeling it's just the normal WaveClass error as both times it's happened today it was about half an hour in a skirmish on Tiberium Garden Redux with 4 medium AIs with me playing Nod and happened while I was nearly finished occupying the middle resources by cutting off the entrances in with obelisks, turrets, and sams. (redeployable MCV made this easy) but yea I wasn't sure the first time it happened but i'm pretty sure it's waveclass error as I was hearing an obelisk go off when it IEed on me.

So that leads me to this question, since i've never had waveclass errors before on my old computer but this one does have it i had to go get Hypers little fix he brewed up for normal TS when I ran into it a few times...since then I haven't gotten an IE until playing DTA...sooo you wouldn't happen to have a version of Hyper's fix brewed up for DTA would you? If not is it going to make it into DTA 1.10 when that gets released?

But yea...that's my only problem with this new computer is that i've found myself running into Waveclass errors and it's making it painfully annoying having fun playing and then getting cut off right when I dominate the economy on the map. =\

The fix is only for disruptors I believe, not lasers. Bittah should make 'em railguns with a low number of particles (or invisible?).

Hyper's fix has already been implemented into DTA 1.10 (yes, Hyper's fix is also for lasers), although simply changing the visual detail level to either medium or low should completely prevent any more waveclass errors from happening in DTA 1.09 as well (That's what Hyper's fix does after all; it lowers the detail level of the lasers, which coincidentally actually makes the lasers look better in DTA).

I've also had some random IEs in DTA 1.07, 1.09, TS:Dusk and base TS.. they all are always the same errors, sometimes they happen when I click Exit on main menu and sometimes while playing ingame.. and sometimes I can play multiple matches without any crashes. However the except.txt is always filled with zeroes and question marks. If someone wants to take a look at it anyway I could upload it here.

If it's the Waveclass error for Ixith, just lower the level of Visual Details to low or medium and it should be fixed, like Bittah said (since DTA doesn't have disruptors). Although the Ion Cannon might still cause it.

I got an IE while playing earlier today, idk what it is, i was blowing up the enemy's base when i got it.
(I have the newest version of DTA)

Note that a few values in the excepts are different and it probably could mean something else, but the EIP and most others are the same (the stack is different though).

Have you modded DTA?
