So....here's MOST of the WIP multi-player maps I have left to finish...i'm only showing the minimaps for now...oh and one or two of these may look familiar...

A City Consumed (2-4) [FS] ** Released

look familiar? it should...this map was never officially released...it was however included in my map pack as an unfinished "beta". The reason i never finished it was because I just never felt like triggering it all up the way i originally wanted...and needed to touch up a few spots of lighting...

Christmas in the Village (2) - done and released...

Ice Valley (2) ** name is meh...could use a new one...**

don't think i ever showed this one off...it was started awhile back but i kinda stopped due to work on another thing and the fact that I realized that I wanted Ice on this map that grew and worked and that I was almost 100% sure i didn't set the original layout up correctly for that...I will however try to make it work a few more times but may have to resort to something else with less ice in the layout...

Kalista Lake/Lake Kalista (2)

another small 2 player snow map....i showed this one off before i think but like the one above I realized my ice wasn't going to work...i really wanted to have an icy lake and i liked the layout of it already and just didn't feel like changing it...I might redo part of it to make it work but ice is very temperamental. =/

Train City (2-3) **Needs a better name me thinks...

Tiberian Sanctuary (2-5) [FS]

talking of resurfacing...this map is quite old...the whole reason i stopped working on this one here was because I thought I had lost it in the process of doing an uninstall then reinstall of TS that was needed...but somehow and luckily at that, it had found it's way into my Archive Maps folder which is where all my finished maps go...so work will resume on it

Villilian Islands (2-4) ** Released

yet another semi-older one which i think i showed a bit before. This one is waiting for one thing to happen...AI triggers or something that allows more fluid gameplay because let's face it...there's a ton of bridges on this map and it gets boring when all the bridges get destroyed and nothing can progress...

Volcanic Elusion (2) [FS]

This two player map which I love the layout too is in the works...however, it will need a good touch up on lighting IIRC and some good triggering and a bit of modding of certain parts for the desired effect that I really want...which will take some time i believe...

Island of Mercanf (2-3)

This new 4 player is coming along nicely...it sat as a near blank map until more recently (June 2012) It's a 4 player map with a major highway running through it with the middle area being very low ground height wise and vegetated. Where as the rest of the area is canyoness like. hrmmm...

not much done yet (well in comparison what is done would be the equivalent of an entire small 2 player map i've done)...but this is the first showing of my first 8 player map. Player start locations won't exactly be that obviously but expect mutation.... size is 160X160....
oh and it is a revival...

I can't....stop...expanding beyond...the crescent...

that's all of them excluding TS:CO single player maps and two remakes of older maps...might also make an expansion to an older map as before my old desktop PC died I saw that it could make a good expansion to it....might make that TS:CO exclusive though...

I will keep you updated on these from time to time....expect another release of a 2 player map by Christmas though...

Aye, I have loads of unfinished maps, but they all date back to my mapping days before TI, which quite frankly I'm not very fond of at all, I've improved vastly since then, I'm sure you've improved vastly since some of your ancient WIP's too. Either way, no matter how old surely these will turn out flawless like most of your previous maps. Most of them look finished, by the way...

updated to reflect the release of Christmas in the Village.

also I could use a name for the first map on the list up there. It's working name is Death of a City and another idea was City in Hell. But those are rather meh...could use something better me thinks. any ideas? It's an urban mutation map. I can pull up pics of it if needed.

so i felt the need to update this with the release of Velillian Islands...

first off I updated the first post with a ** Released bit by two of the maps up there that have been released since posting.

Now... a picture of Island of Mercanf or whatever i'll call it in the future as it needs a new name....

as for the 'story' on mercanf...well not gonna make one all the way up just yet but the reason the city is in destroyed mode isn't because of the tiberium infestation...
(also probably won't be keeping those sandbags...thought I might do something with a 'resistance' group there but decided not to at that spot.)

anyways..

small update:

-Added The Landing Zone, a new map, to the list with a current minimap pic.
-Updated the final map in the list with another minimap update.

Progress is slow but still going on.

Yay, 8-player maps. Although there isn't much to comment on at the moment. Looking forward to reviewing them when they're released.

Okay...now that it's been close to a year since i've updated this topic....i think it's time to do so with an update on The Landing Zone.

so yea...not done obviously and still a fair ways away from being so...but work does continue. After not having FS open at all for quite some time i've had it open a good bit the last week working on this. No clue when the motivation will disappear or not though.

more work around the edges, then start locations will get done, then fine detailing of trees and rocks, then triggers and lighting...not sure what i'll do for lighting as of right now though.

Progress remains slow. And like always I can't help but start new ones instead of finishing old WIPs. However, a couple of the ones listed are closer and 3...or 4...hell maybe even 5 new ones have been started which I will not post on yet.

well EVA just said new terrain discovered....

of course it's not just expanded...it's been hit by extreme mutations. Similar to how Holixe River became Desolated river except in this case it's expanded and both worlds exist. Mutated and relatively fine areas. All that's really left to do on this one is touching up on some triggers and finalizing the lighting which I want to be similar to the original map's lighting but not quite as dark and maybe not as red too. Give opinions on that? (click the link to the original in my sig if you need refreshing on it)

but here is a new small one i will post.

Nice comeback. So Crescent Isle is now hazardous and fully "tiberified"? How's that 8-player map (the one in your last few posts) going then?

Update time. lol

Not much has happened on the maps shown here since the last update. Crescent Expanded still needs some trigger tweaks as does that other small 2 player one I showed off last time. But here's a 'new' 4 player that sat with just a very very base layout until recently and also a slight update on the Landing Zone 8 player.

This new 4 player map needs a name. Obviously not much shown off for it now to give people any inspiration on names...but meh...

as you can see some small areas have been filled in and all the player tib fields have been added. so little progress is little progress.

I've also finished the detailing of the 'Train City (2-3)' map from the original post but I don't feel it's worth posting a minimap comparison of. All that's left for it is to add in the train triggers, day night loop, some moving vehicles and maybe one other thing. And to tone the lighting to match the setting of the map better. Can't decide on a 'color' for it...I'm thinking a more generic dusk feeling is probably most appropriate though as there's urban areas but the majority of the map is grassy and forested.
