TiberiumWeb.org Community Forums _ The Graphics Fridge _ Photograph thread

We have a 'post a picture of yourself' thread, and a 'show off your artwork' thread. I don't think photographs of nature or culture really fit in those threads, so i decided to start a new one here.

The first two photos were taking during autumn. The last two just a few days ago, in the winter.

Interesting combination of jetstreams, clouds and sunlight.

The same location, this time with a double rainbow.

Love seeing the coloured sky through the trees.

A wonderfully coloured sky. That sign is the name of the road my house is at.

Feel free to add photo's of (almost) anything! smile.gif

Oh, wow, Grevinkweg.
That fist pic is so awesome!

Here's one from Australia. Low quality camera phones can produce stunning pictures!

That reminds me of this 'descent down the river while shooting mercenaries and mutant monsters' level from Far Cry biggrin.gif

Nice pictures guys.
@ jadems that pic looks so surreal and like it was painted or made in some program like photoshop. It's awesome.

I have three pictures that I can share now...

An overlook of the hilly area near the state borders of Ohio and West Virginia. However, it's the long skinny part of West Virginia that goes pretty far north and the Pennsylvania border isn't that far off. So the hills are really the foot hills of the Appalachian Mountains. It's an early morning shot from a hotel parking lot believe it or not.

This one is of two bushes in my front yard during the spring time when they first start to bloom. They are Japanese quince and the forsythia bushes. Forget which one is which though. =/

This final picture is one I took last winter while out at a cookout fire. It's a very upclose picture of the fire and the flames were in a way in which a face seems to be present. It's also the picture that I had sized down and flipped and then had Aro do some editing to for it to become my avatar.

Well, I like nature and especially snow with nature. Here are some (low-quality, maybe blurred) pictures of what I have taken.

I know the picture is a bit blurry. That's our lake after getting 30 cm snow. It has had thick ice (thick enough for war-machines to roll on) since before new year's eve. It's got that blue atmosphere to it, which is common during morning/evenings. I took it while riding to school.

This is the lake when walking home, from almost the same spot, but with me facing the other way of course. Gotta love the hills with trees covered by snow on them. You barely even see houses behind them!

This is me on the lake when it was snowing heavily. It almost looks like rain, but it is snow.

Another lake picture. This one was taken in early December after some cold days and a small snowfall.

This was at my school. Deep snow is deep! I'm really glad they actually DID shovel the way to my school (which goes through the forest), otherwise it wouldn't be possible to bike and it'd be hard to walk. ohmy.gif

The only picture without snow! This was at a trip into the forest in a hilly place. Beautiful mix of agriculture scenery and nature here! I climbed up in a tree to get the best possible view. This is though the flattest county in Norway. roll.gif

@DvD: Whee, you live in a slightly not so urban part of The Netherlands. You're happy to be Dutch then. tongue.gif

That is why I hate El Paso, Texas.

No snow!! I would kill to go back to Germany. smile.gif

This is a pic from Fort Polk, Louisiana.

Oh how I miss Germany! Look, actual trees! tongue.gif

White Sands, New Mexico. I was on a lone trip out into the dunes when I found epic scenery. Too bad tourism is ruining the desert, and I mean, look at all the footprints! If it weren't for that, it would be an awesome shot. This is where they filmed Tatooine for Star Wars, and for a couple other movies.

Posted by: jadems Jan 28 2009, 05:08 AM

I remember you sent me some of the photos of our place, CrashKing.
And I love castles! Don't the German's ever worry about Ninjas?

I would love to get an actual professional camera and mess with the settings. I did my picture by looking at the sun and then taking the picture while it adjusted.

What a sh*thole! Well, really, I'm glad I don't live in them kind of tagged-down and full-of-idiots places.

LOL, you have no idea. Birmingham is the center of criminal damage, but I'm no saint myself. rolleyes.gif
I don't live around that particular area thankfully anyway, my areas are more calm, especially being as everybody knows me I don't tend to get any trouble, I've gotten myself quite a reputation in my time in Pype Hayes.

Ah, I live just in a boring place where nothing happens. Ok... ok... a few months ago, this village was in the news because of a murder. Oh, and something about a pedophile in Peter R. de Vries (that guy who also got new 'evidence' in the nathalie holloway case). Oh, and 2 large fires last month, and 1 small one.

So, nothing special here.

You should see glasgow.

at least semi decent looking buildings glasgows all Concrete (apart from the old town which there is nothing left of after thay drove a motorway threw it roll.gif ) and neds.

i am sort of gothy/punky in the way i dress (not realy gothy/punky if you know what i mean) but i run the risk of not comming back if i take a 3omin train trip in top glasgow. (atleast the edinburgh neds either recognise you or your acent and only throw abuse.)

Well, I'm sometimes glad Norway is a very quiet place.

Here is a picture of a fox that went on our terrace in 2007 I believe. Gotta love the animals!

Move to a snowier place (we've had little snow compared to earlier, but to now this winter has had some decent amountas) rolleyes.gif

Anyway, I'm gonna have some summer pics too. dance.gif

Lake during summer. The water's actually polluted by algeas from time to time during summer (which is low for the Norwegian standards). sad.gif

Another lake picture with some summer-sun. Gives me summer memories. biggrin.gif

Aww, summer-sun. I miss the summer now, but I like both seasons. wink1.gif

Here are some of my photographs. These are all fairly old, and taken with a point-and-shoot camera: the Olympus FE-115. Thankfully now I have a nice new DSLR, so I'm looking forward to getting some better shots next summer!

f*cking snow.
Oh, and great shots D2K.

Posted by: CrashKing Feb 9 2009, 07:48 PM

We got a huge snowfall on saturday. Much bigger than you Brits! tongue.gif

We got more than half a metre of snow now. Awesome for winter enthusiasts like me.

Posted by: Nod Strike Feb 9 2009, 08:32 PM

We had that, but now it's just icy and a pain in the butt.

Posted by: CrashKing Feb 9 2009, 09:14 PM

Our snow isn't melting. It's gonna be cold for the few next weeks (could go as cold as -20'C).

Posted by: Yaraday Feb 9 2009, 10:12 PM

I miss snow :(

Last time I was in NYC I got a good shot of the Chrysler Building

Farther out on the island, in a town called Calverton, Grumman used to have a factory and test range. Pretty much all of the F-14 Tomcats made were put together there, and one of them is out by the entrance:

(too bad there's a damned hydro pole in the shot tongue.gif)

Posted by: Roani52 Feb 14 2009, 02:34 PM

Haha, I scrolled down and it looked like you took a picture of a landing F-14
