Hi, this is a tutorial about sounds without the Aud Writer for XCC.
Use the windows sound recorder. If you want to create a sound, have a microphone in your comp, and know how to make sounds and convert to Auds, then stop reading now.

You need:XCC Utilities, and Windows Sound Recorder

This is mostly about editing them. Alright, open Tibsun.Mix in XCC.
Open Sounds.Mix.
Pick the sound I'll try if you are a beginner. The Hover MLRS firing sound AKA hovrmis1 (Pros shouldn't read this cus this is for the new modders.)
Right click on the sound, and select "Copy As WAV" Make sure you pick PCM.
Now open Windows Sound Recorder, and find the sound. It should be in the utilities folder.
Go to effects, then choose "Add Echo" do it 3 more times and it should sound like 4 rockets when you play.
Save and close.
Open XCC.
Find the sound (might be at the start)
Right click and do "Copy As AUD"
Now if you don't already know, you launch XCC Mix Editor. Click new, then put the sound in the mix. Compact it and make sure it was saved in SUN. The Tiberian Sun Folder.
