I wondered why TS has those five buildings?
Crash 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5.

I'm not sure what crashes 1, 2, and 5 are, but I know 3 is a stealth tank and 4 is probably a GDI APC.

They are just wreckages. Who knows, maybe one of them are the remains of an alien craft.

I thought one was a mammoth tank.

I think they are to accompany the old trashed TD buildings
Orca, tank(colour wise possbily nod), stealth tank, GDI apc, nod attack helecopter

put in for the same reason as the trashed mammoth mk2 or old nod power plant in TW

Well yeah in the last GDI mission in TS you can see a crashed stealth tank by the wrecked nod buildings near the main base.

I never really got why Nod was a blueish color.

Because bright red uniforms are plain retarded? Nod uses urban camo. THAT's the bluish colour.

And yet TD had no urban warfare unless you count in a few tiny villages confused.gif

Well in the reality of C&C there would of course be big cities. Besides that it just looks cool.

C&C1 did indeed lack urban warfare, but that's because both sides had an interest in keeping out of big cities; Nod for their propaganda, and GDI, because, well, that's their job.

There were a few civilians buildings, some missions had villages.

Though what was the deal with Visceroids not appearing?

Yeah.
RA1 and TD are very closely related!
Why would the editors be much different?

Have you tried the editors...

IMO RAED is just clumsy and bad to use.

So you used the TD one, but not necessarily the RA one and yet you compared them. I'm wondering whether youve used them both, because they're not alike.

Maybe the editors aren't but TD and RA1 are very related. I have played both of them.

I know this topic is to talk about the SSM (and I started it)
But there isn't much left to talk about.

Well, RAED is clumsier and more difficult to use than XCC editor for sure, but once you get used to it, it's not that bad.

In terms of AI (and thus, mission making), RA1 and TD aren't very closely related at all...

Why would the editors be different? Because missions are a LOT more than just the terrain and stuff on it. The mission programming in RA is a LOT more advanced than that in C&C1, because the AI is more advanced. The AI was completely rewritten for RA1.

Maybe thats because RA1 is newer.

But same terrain/trees, same SHPs, and same cameos. (For the units that both have)
Differences are sounds, missions/AI as Nyer said.

"same terrain" isn't true either. RA has a LOT more terrain tiles than C&C1; just think of the RA1 shore cliffs.

Also, map terrain, Terrain elements (trees and such) and Overlay (neutral fences, indestructible buildings) are saved in a completely different way in RA maps.
