Td maps are easy in comparison to making maps for TS and ra2.

The terrain in TS is harder to make than in TD but triggering is MUCH more worse in TD every single time I try to make a trigger and when I comes to that point in game the game crashes what ever I do!

Hm. About time I assimilate yet another TD community dance.gif

TD triggers, tbh, are best done manually. There isn't a single editor out there that documents / applies them all correctly. Basically, you just get the map positions you need for the trigger, and then just open the INI file and put the triggers in manually.

Back in the 90s I made this really handy mission making manual out of all information I could find on it... especially the triggers & teamtypes part is very informative. so I guess I'll just attach it here wink1.gif

btw... on the PSX missions... there's one that talks about "upgraded Orca's". Now in TD, unlike in RA(/TS/RA2?) you can't put rules changes in an INI file, so this was hardcoded in the PSX game. Normally the orcas got the obelisk laser in that mission. But trust me, the mission is easy enough without the super Orca's wink1.gif

Well first I'd like to say hello. It's nice to be on these forums. And second, thanks to the topic starter! I've been searching for this tool so long! I found older version of CC Map but that required some files from the very first C&C and I wasted so many hours searching them wacko.gif So thank you!

I think I have many good ideas for TD missions and I've already started making one. Though I don't really understand how to use triggers and stuff, but maybe that will unfold for me later. And maybe I can ask for an advice here smile.gif

And thanks for the manual, Nyerguds. That helped alot!

I am currently in the tedious process of trying to extract the four unique missions found in the Nintendo 64 version of C&C95.

I extracted one so far, but the files are compressed internally and my method of extracting them from a memory dump of the P64 emulator is pretty dodgy (sometimes the decompressed files are partially corrupted), so it will take a while before I manage to get them all.

Not to mention, the maps are 90% unrecoverable... what I can extract is a map on which the only thing I can really see is where stuff used to be and what space was clear, meaning that I have to go and compare the decapitated map with the actual ingame mission and restore all tiles one by one.

It's possible I'm extracting the wrong thing though, and that what I'm extracting is actually the bumpmap, but I haven't found anything else...

[edit]
found an INI, MAP and IMG file of each. MAP is that bumpmap kinda thing (but the format is quite compatible with normal C&C map files, and can be used to indicate which terrain is not flat and thus rock ridges n stuff)
Worst case scenario is that the IMG is one big image of the entire map. Ah well, I'll see.

Extracted all INI files, recreated all maps, fixed all stupid bugs in the AI programming.

The result is here:
http://nyerguds.arsaneus-design.com/N64Project/

The folder is full of cool stuff I got out of the N64 ROM, but the actual missions are inside N64_cnc_miss.zip

be sure to download "remarkable.zip". It's funny tongue.gif
